This is an awesome phone,because...
1)It's comes around Rs.19k(kolkata price)
2)It has Wifi Hotspot...transfer 35mb file within 2-3 min.
3)Great 5mp camera with best clarity and front 2mp camera.
4)It has a Divx player in-built with Dolby digital sound(Awesome).
6)Very easy to access with front 2mp camera easy to do any vedio call ,Great looks & very slick.wide screen.
7)Great battery back up(depend on the usage)but still v.good compare to other android smart phone.
~What else need to buy a great smart phone like OPTIMUS BLACK.
I'm happy by using this gadget....thnx LG.

I bought the White color.
It's looks are very good. It's Slim, Sleek.
Downloaded the WiFi cast app from the LG world its very easy to share big files of 35 MB it hardly takes 2-5 mins to transfer big files to other wiFi cast supported devices.
Upgraded to Gingerbread the camera clarity has increased and the performance too.
It's has the best displayed compared to the Samsung Galaxy SII.
Need to install Task killer and enable auto kill option to increase the battery performance.
The Price is also less compared to other Andriod phone with this configuration.

My LG P970 cannot detect my sim card..it say's no sim card inserted.. I've try another sim card and still say's the same..

I loved the phone, and it lasted 1 week for me, until it needed charging! Also, it had a 5 MP camera, and Bluetooth, also it had internet access, using Facebook, G Mail, and many more! If i could give this phone, 5 stars or more, i would choose the highest level, because, its really all i needed! Before, i was stuck on thinking what phone i had wanted, until i heard about this, and i bought it! I can't wait until, new LG phones come out in the stores, but this one is best!

the battery life of this phone is great, it can even last up to 48 hrs (days) average using. Just use 2G, turn off automatic sync, and turn off wifi if you're not using it, set your time out to 15 seconds or 30. It can last up to two days. I've been using the phone for 2 months now. Download also antutu battery saver, this app surely helps. Enjoy your OB white.

The optimus black had fallen from three feet ith had broken into chaps and unable to use the service centre had said u got a major damage on u ar phone

For me, I always plug in to charge during the night. Full charge will last me the whole day from morning to late evening with average calling, SMS and Email through WIFI.

Just want to ask regarding its battery life, is it awful, unacceptable or is it good and convenient????
I'm planning to buy my very first smartphone next week, but all of those (other brands) are having an issue in battery life, which I think the most important in cellphones, portability phones. Thanks in advance! @_@

i do have this phone but i was just wondering everytime im opening any applications before it opens it kinda blockout for like 2-3sec before opening every application. i just bought it last 3 days ago.

be sure that you back up your phone cause they'll going to erase all the program / reset the phone. so probbably all your contacts, messages, etc. will all be deleted after the upgrade.
