the TI OMAP 850 processor that HTC uses in this phone has an ARM core, not an Xscale like like the Magician's Intel processor did. If you look at speed tests ARMs run at around twice the speed of Xscales, so this phone should be about as good as the JAM processorwise (Don't like how we only get 64mb of ram though). For details on the OMAP check out TI's site

The reason K-Jam is not listed together with i-mate SP5 and SP5m is because they want to officially announce them on the 29th of September at the Dubai GITEC Exhibition and CITIA San Francisco on the 27th-29th of September

Very stylish design, but the major disadvantage is the slow processor speed compared to the new released pocket PCs of I-mate.Can somebody tell me why the K-Jam is not listed in the official site imate.com?

If K-JAM has the same function ability with O2 XDA MINI S then can anyone tell me if the Windows Mobile 5.0 which is the Software of the O2 XDA MINI S is the same as the Microsoft Pocket PC 2005 software of the K-JAM? if is the same thing why the GSM ARENA do not use the same terminology to avoid confusion?

It will look like the Mini s , it's an HTC Wizzard before it's badged by other manufacturers, like Imate, QTEK, Vodafone,O2,Orange etc. At 150g it's not a doorstop it's lighter than the Nokia N90 and it's a PDA with phone functionality not a phone with PDA functionality.

It looks exactly like the new O2 mini S. Are we sure they are different phones. Specifications are the same too. Wonder what relation is between the O2 & this i-mate JAM.
Is is worth to have a WiFi+ 256MB fixed on the the O2 mini?

Just wondering why the size in thickness for this phone in this site is different from other sites, which is 18mm as listed here and 23.5 or 24 mm elsewhere?

Very sharp. The weight of this phone will make an excellent doorstop and the sliding keyboard will help lock it into place......

Yes, it does have excel, word n stuff. and for those who doubt the processor, i don't think you should be worry too much, ask the processor is 'multi core' compare to other pocket pc 'single core'. There's this video link and the guy 'using' the phone, overall i think the wizard perform well. anyway... http://www.beyondthetech.com/d...qtek9100.wmv

at first glance,it looks like a really gr8 fone!i don't think the processor speed means that much,it's the overall performance that matters...i wonder if imate corrected the problems in their phones and released this new one...

Prosessor speed doesnt mean the system will be slow. Just like AMD processor they want performance not speed! Speeding up the Ghz doesnt made the whole system turn fast in whole but depend in the ram, application and the technology used in the new processor. I am looking forwand to c this new processor. Anywayz the higher the speed the more power consuming, The more heat it will produce.. Intel weakness..
