> In reply to Anonymous @ 2009-04-08 19:48 from Ui$d - click to readThey do have service centre in Singapore. I used to use 650 and own the headset.
When I was deciding to buy either 650 or O2 mini, the seller said that one lacking of Palm is that they don't have service centre in Indo but I bought the 650 anyway coz really like Palm OS (used 600 and GS Zircon).
Then when there was connecting issue with my headset, I simply email my problem, getting quick response and got the replacement at no cost at all, after shipped my defected headset to Sing - at no cost at all! Excellent service!

Other than that, it looks great. It will be nice to test it in the stores, IF it even reaches Sweden... hopefully under 2009...

Please correct your Card Slot field. The Palm Pre supports microSD cards. It was clearly mentioned at CES.

It is good to see Palm making a come back. I have been using Windows Mobile devices for years now, and I am sick of all the user interface problems. I think Palm has a chance to make a come back, as Microsoft is at the moment just sitting on the side line, with nothing much happening. An example of a problem that I have been putting up with, is Alarms. I have been using a PDA as an organiser, however the alarms never seem to work properly. In the WM 5 edition alarms use to go to sleep on you, MS seem to have fixed this problem in the WM 6 edition, however alarms seem to still have the problem with timing out too quickly. If this wasn’t so much an issue, there wouldn’t be so much third party software around, to try to fix the problem. The problem however with third party software, it too has problems interfacing with the Windows Mobile OS and therefore it never works properly. If you don’t use alarms very often, I suppose this is not much of an issue, however if you are using the PDA/Smartphone as an organiser then this could be an issue. Anyway there are so many other user interface shortfalls that the WM has, it would take me all day to go through them. Good luck Palm.

It will not only be able to record video, I'm pretty sure it would be able to record HD 720p Video! Just look at the technicals - TI OMAP 3 (3430) processer (600mhz) and the DxO labs image processer for the camera have enough computing power to enable 720p HD Video recording! This must be Palm's USP, and one of the best kept secrets - expect a video related announcement from Palm at launch or sometime after it, for sure!

It looks fantastic, but how come they didn't learn from Apples foolish mistakes - You can't release a phone that doesn't so the basic things a phone does now. Even 4 year old phones record video. Come on Palm, get video sorted to make this an all round iPhone contender.

Well it has a questionable OS they promise it to be great but how can Palm compete with Apple,Google,WinМo devices? Phone looks great in term of specs but now i saw the lack of cardslot makes it a little bit dull.I really don't care about the camera which is not good too but limited to 8gb....c'mon all new Diamond on our hands again i'm not saying it's not enough but limitations like that are not good for sales....anyone know about the price is it gonna be like Xperia (too pricy) or like G1 (affordable) also anyone know of a release date ?

All the features sound exciting on paper! Let's see how it pans out actually. Anyone knows when it's going to be launched in Singapore?

If only PALM had a service centre in Singapore; even a small one out of city area would suffice, definitely will boost biz. Have been palm user for the past 5 years; like functionality but hangs ever so often + battery life SOOOOO short! To top it all, talking to customer svc in another country is certainly of no help.
