Each time I ask if Palm will come up with a phone or pda that will be a WOW!!! But it never came and now Palm is a WAS company and no point buying its hardware.

Well, in asia wifi isn't that well implemented and even in the US there aren't that many places with free wifi.

I wonder why phone makers keep making such kinds of phones. What segment of the market are they trying to satisfy? Why make a phone like this in this time and age without WIFI, etc? Such rubbbish!

on the contrary my friend. wifi is spread all over. southern and eastern africa, central and south America. all over. and HTC, Nokia and others already realized they must offer wifi. what about palm?

I´m surprised that palm´s still rolling out product without wi-fi. One more product like this and I would migrate my 50+ employye company to Qtek products, bye bye palm forever

very dissapointed in palm, such a low-end device.. misunderstooded design, no wifi, no innovations.. not worth for an attention

Worldwide, there are few countries where wifi is common. If you're from one of these places, why pay extra for a feature you don't need?

Palm hasn't let me down! This one looks good. Don't hate, it's better when to have the palm when you're without a laptop! As far as the GSM comment below, seems like you dont go overseas as much!

Besides wifi we also asked for a slimmer profile (21mm vs. 16.4mm) and a better camera (vga vs. 2mp). So far so good. I'm not sure if this has a touchscreen but their palm version better have one.

well, it is a Treo 500 so it's supposed to be on the lower end. They want to test the basic design out first before they come in with a fully spec'd mobile from this range.

I'm Palm user for years. Guys add WiFi! Add GPS! Do it for us, your users, your buyers.

If you don't know what to do - put the GSM functionality on T|X!

Jesus, what a bunch of geeks moaning on about wifi,hsdpa blah blah. This phone isn't for you, it is for a wider markets who want email on the go. This phone will be free with a contract. for all other mod cons wait for someone else to launch a phone so you can cream yourselves.

once again another mediocore at best palm. couldnt pay me to use it. oh yay UMTS.. yah right hsdpa is standerd now and with no wifi and the famously unstable windows OS on palm id rather stab a fork in my eye then use this for a month.

Palm refuses to play ball. It's obvious why they're failing. They finally come out w/ a phone that doesn't look like the previoius 6 and they neglect to add the one feature that would make me take a serious look at it.
