I agree with the first post. Actually, if you compare with US pricing ($250) it should cost about 13750 in India at current exchange rates (1 USD = 55 INR). Then why has it launched at the price of INR 19000 in India

...according to datawind, ubislate 7C at Rs 4,000/- would be readily available in all retailed mobile and AIRCEL shops by Q3 2012, According to the Dalal street analysis, galaxy tab 2 P3100 should cost not more than Rs 15,600/- in India, as both the above tablets have the the same basic structure (non-removeable battery) and the same GSM voice support facillity. the extra cost of Rs 11,600/- should goes for the higher screen resolution (yet both are LCD, scratchable, capacitive), dual core CPU (...similar 1 GHz speed in both) and slightly larger GPU in the later.

There is no data frequency specified in the Samsung official site for this model.
This model is intend only for Wi-Fi use not for GPRS or EDGE technology.
If it was compatible please let me know.

> In reply to jb_pacia @ 2012-05-17 05:30 from thgF - click to readthe diff between tab plus and tab2:
pros
tab plus:
-LED flash &autofoucs for cam
-it has 3G version
-3mgpxels on both front and back cams
-1.2 gigahertz (tab 2 1.0 but the new OS compensates for its performance)
tab 2:
-lighter by 0.2ounce
-runs Ice cream sandwich (latest android OS which will give you access to 99-100% of all apps in Google play)
-wayyy cheaper (but woth the price)
bottomline:
i say buy the tab 2, the new OS ice cream sandwich is a deal breaker for me :)
