I bought mine 2nd hand in 2006. as for today (9/2011), it is still working properly, with only one minor malfunction which has started 5 months ago. the original charger cannot charges the cellphone anymore. But it doesn't matter, because I have two batteries and I use a desktop charger to re-charge each.

Excellent phone! Still works perfectly in 2011, unfortunately it was stolen 2 weeks ago. Still missing it.

I bought mine in 2003, still works perfectly in 2011! That is more than any of uptodate phones can offer.

This was my first ever cell phone. Compared to many out now, including my new one (though I'm still not into the wave of smartphones), it's basically a dinosaur, but it completed all I needed it for at the time - calls and texts. Now all I do is text and mobile web! Haha. I was fifteen when I had this phone, and I kinda miss it, just for the nostalgia.

I'm dead serious when I'm saying that I'm just about to order a new battery for my C55 to be able to use it for yet another few years. It's simply a great phone.
