No squeaks bro. The sides are wrapped with rubber and the battery cover is screwed shut. This may not be as tough as the M75 but it definitely beats any Nokia phones around.

thx max for ur fast answer.
the M75 is solid but its too bulky!
what i want to know is if there is any backlash,or does it squeak when u compress the phone in ur hand?
i hate phones that are not well built, and that squeak or the back cover has backlash!!!
i have faith in siemens, the M series are the best!

The phone is solid enough. Of course its not as tough as the M75 as the ME75 is a lot smaller and lighter. It would withstand unintentional drops. I have also washed it and experienced no problems.

i want to ask some owners what they think about the construction of the phone? is it as solid as the M75????
cause the M75 i heard that its solid as a rock!
and i really want a solid phone!
i know it doesnt have bluetooth but an IRDA is not bad as long as its functional!
and i dont care about the camera cause i am planning on buying a digi cam, cause in my opinion either u make a clear nice photo or u dont make at all!
this phone is cheap and has good battery! and enough memory!

OMG!
+1 recharge in one week (pretty new though)
+"cheap", good buttons
+incredible nice camera

-no USB, so why make such a good camera?
-too LARGE display, what a battery drain
-slow software, some stupid unnessacery software.
-COULDN`T IT be possible to let you choose the background color when typing messages? Who wants that blue on bright white in the middle of the night?

I would like to know how long the battery stays? Because from the look, it doesn't stay for more than two days.

Only Siemens M75 has bluetooth among all outdoor phones. Even Nokia 's outdoor phones dont have bluetooth. If you want a rugged phone w/ bluetooth, there's only 1 model for you. If you want a simple and light yet sturdy phone without the fuzz, ME75 is it! Ive had both ME45 and now, ME75 and I'm really happy with them! Go Siemens!

Why no bluetooth with voice tags? This is a out-door / tradesman phone, bluetooth headset very useful. Would buy now if it had these features. I only use Siemens but they never get it quite right.....

Guys, pls tell me more about the battery, I'm looking for a phone with long battery life, but not only long life in standby, but in talk time too. If somebody has bought this phone - tell me your real impressions, because I don't believe the specifications about the battery at the bottom are real...

I think the rubber plug of Siemens is way better than Nokia's rubber cover for their rugged phones. Nokia's turns brittle and breaks off after a while. Its just a matter of being careful and not misplacing the plug. There's also a spare plug so if u misplace both plugs, there's something wrong with you. Dont blame the manufacturers. I recently bought the ME75 and its great!

Cant you people at Siemens design a better plug?Especially the one at the bottom. Lets make a bet of how many ME75 owners who had lost the bottom plug.I'd say, most of them.

Dude, this phone is definitely the one for those who loves to go outdoor. It's simple, cheap and sturdy. I bring my m35(yeah, it's old) while playing with my rollerblades and guess what, It actually survived the torture. And I'm an x-game fan. And for the price, lets just say, you still can buy another one when the phone totally scrapped. But if you want to be those posh look alike, then why don't you go to a communicator or an O2 XDA?? They got every multimedia you ever wanted. Just remember not to drop it.
