> In reply to Edgarin @ 2011-11-16 01:23 from 8xe} - click to readIndeed. I still have it and it is running great especially nearing it's ICS update. I find no reason to upgrade even after seeing the beautiful Galaxy Nexus which I like but not worth it with lack of Hardware keyboard and approaching quad core procs. The G3 must and have to be superior. Recently HTC has been disappointing in the last year or two with repetitive plastic phones with same designs and mediocre internal features but the G3 MUST have some sort of dual or quad core proc, 300+ ppi display, NFC and all the goodness we see on the pure Google phones. Can;t wait for a thin, slider, rugged, G3.

The best phone I've ever had. I don't know why it isn't so famous. Its screen sharpness is even better than 2011's phones (i.e. xperia play, I compared them), I'm amazed and very happy. If a "G3" appears, I'll definetely buy it.

This is by far the best phone I've owned so far. I love some of my older stuff, granted most of them were non-smart phones (Samsung D900 still my all time favorite). None the less mine is over a year old, and it's still going strong. I love how it's process may only be a 800Mhz it's still very potent and you don't run into many issues with it. This thing is tough too, mine is banged up a big, but having it in a metal casing vs. plastic like everything really makes a difference. It's a heavy thing though, but man is it good. I love this I really do, I've though about upgrading but I can't part with it. Mine is all stock, and the Gingerbread update I got a while back ago for it made such a huge in it's overall performance. All in all if you can still find one, I'd say get one, it won't let you down. Yeah there is stuff way better now, but I think overall this is one of the best out there. Considering it'll run with any of the 1Ghz single core devices (i.e. Galaxys, Milestone/Moto Driods).

> In reply to Groh G2 @ 2011-10-26 17:20 from Y9cu - click to readAn IceCreamSandwich update is more than probable if you're rooted. Its possible if you're not. In either case, hardware constraints won't be a viable reason why it shouldn't as the Nexus S is guaranteed to receive the update. The G2 is in the same bracket technically as they have very similar specs.
Ultimately, its up to T-mobile show some love.. Your best bet would be to root and wait for the inevitable CM9 from CyanogenMOD. Short of that, you're rolling the dice with that matter.
