this is really mind-blowing cell phone!. The design is truly world class and looks are second best to none.I am dropping NOKIA 6233 for this cell phone.

> In reply to kodn @ 2010-02-20 04:12 from PAYN - click to readThat is true... if you phone is getting snatchen, then it will get snatched, no matter of you have a cheap or expansive model, however, if you go in to an alley like that , i am sure you will not wave arround your 8800 Arte just like that :-P

I still find it an very very ugly phone, i don't mind the B&W displays, that is fine with me, since those displays give you a huge amount of battery time and they are better to read in very sunny conditions (look at the Nokia 1280). Next to that, if you go to a country like africa (or some parts of azia) then you might bump into the problem that, how simple or how expansive your phone is, you just won't be able to get a connection since some parts of those countries don't have GSM/GPRS/UMTS system, because they are to remote from any big city. So, comming back on to my comment to this phone, the features are good, the performance is good, but the design just laks of inspiration :-D.

come on, when a snatcher snatches your phone, do they ask you if u r rich or not?
as long as they snatch a phone, it's all right, so people are practically buying phones which would hurt them less when it gets snatched or something.
imagine, you were walking down a deep dark ally holding your 8800 gold arte and it got snatched, perhaps you'd cry, but if this gets snatched from you, you can recover in just a week or so,

:)

but they should have made this thing look more attractive,

Worst design for phone even as compared to the phone is used in 2000.

Even the gift would look like a piece of garbage when the someone hold in his/her hand.

One more thing though, i understand that this conecpt is for "poor" countries, but if you take a look at the so called "poor" countries then you see that the there is nothing wrong with the telecom market there, give the people good stuff, the can use and make that affordable (look at Alcatel and Sagem they get the idea).

I am sorry.... but c'mon, what an ungly mobile phone, i have to say, the specs are good, but I am sure with our current technology they could have a little bit more effort in to this, even Nokia can make better looing phones then this. I think, in this case, Vodafone should stay with just the 250, and through away this ugly 150... :-D

> In reply to Shark @ 2010-02-18 12:59 from 0x6v - click to readDude, did you seriously have to add that it was targeted at poor African countries? Be more reasonable and focus on the phone itself, rather that where it's heading to. Cheers.
