I agree with most of the brilliant people who say that the device is one of a kind and will remain a suitable choice if you ever wanted to buy a device that can run on android,WM and WP. I done so many tests on the device and didn't find a single mistake in making it. The design is smooth, the screen is durable and the battery lasts far longer than some of new devices out there.

This is one of the best phones ever made for its time.. I have had this phone since 2009 I have been able to run 5 different operating systems. I'm currently running on a dual boot of Android and Windows Phone 7 using mgldr split on a 32GB card.

I have kept it in a case with a screen protector and it still looks as good as the day I bought it.. these complaints about screen issues are stupid, just look after your device it will remain intact.

If you know how to get the full potential out of this phone then you would agree that even today the HD2 beats other phones that have currently been released. :D

> In reply to atoosa @ 2012-02-05 19:22 from HI97 - click to readif your SMS are not sending they are all Piling up in the outbox it’s a bug in HD2’s that have older ROMs
Update your ROM to 3.14 or 1.66

If you don’t want to do the update your ROM you are going to have to take your SMS out of conversation mode and delete everything in your “outbox” and restart the phone.

The worrest experience i had with its touch screen, when it failed once i replaced the digitizer with my own cost. It just worked for 3 months again the same problem. Now Decided to get rid of this stupid phone.
The design of locking button under hangup button seems to be the center of problem. Stupid design.

Looking forward to buy Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo.

I am using it more than 16months now and phone was good till 13months. Touch was not working and I changed it once. Then the second one is also now not working properly. Really spent a lot now on this. Other than this everything is perfect with the flashed ROM with Android MIUI 2.3.7. Better than iPhone.

Been using this phone for a little over 2 years now. Still loving it. Running a build of american android. Never had a freeze up or crash. Unless i was stupid and put a nightly on there. IMO...its the best 450 dollars i have spent on a phone. You have to realize that this phone...is still thinner than others made today. The screen size of this phone is just NOW popular in high end phones today. I forsee me using this phone for another 2 years.

Bottom Line

Good build quality from HTC
OK camera
Great video playback
Good alternative android choice
Great screen size.
Battery life for me in android is about 2 days standby and roughly 7 hours talk time (3G) If i use 2G operators it goes to about 8.5 hours.

Good phone...I hope HTC releases a line of WP8 when it comes out. I was always a windows phone guy way back when it was called WinMo5. Had the HTC MDA. Android just offers more than 6.5 did. WP7 is killing it right now...post mango phones...i envy.

> In reply to kal-el @ 2012-01-31 16:40 from pk4r - click to readIn defence of “Anonymous” he may not know that his phone never really goes into a true standby when you have “e-mail” and “my location” set-up on the phone. The screen may be off but the cellular radio is still being used to download that data at your preset download time.
The only way you would get that 490h is if you were to put the phone in Airplane mode, so just pay no attention to the posted stand by time. It’s unrealistic if you bought this phone to “USE” it.
