You guys should check www.leaf.co.za. They are the local distributor for HTC. They also have software upgrades and downloads for these phones available.

Hi I've an HTC Snap from T-Mobile with windows 6.1. As per HTC site, Snap's OS can be upgraded to 6.5 but when I put my S/No to download the upgrade ROM; it says the following update is not suitable for your phone... Can any one please help me out? I really need to upgrade to 6.5

Thanks
Ghous

> In reply to Tshepo in Soweto @ 2010-07-06 08:15 from Mfx2 - click to readDid you charge your phone 16hrs when you first got it(brand new). If you did let's try this
discharge your phone (use your phone until the switches off by itself) then charge it while it is off until the
red light turns green then switch it on, you should be ok. If not the replace the battery with an original HTC battery or if your phone
is still under warranty take it back and they will seek a solution to your problem... hope you find this. helpful MTshepana...

> In reply to Loraine @ 2010-07-06 07:49 from ATVR - click to readWell I don't know which country you are in, but I'll tell you this
in S.A. it comes with A-GPS fully functional. You don't have. to activate anything. In addition it also
comes with google maps which is also good because it is GPS asisted. After all I'll tell you this the Snap's gps is
not very good compared to nokia's GPS. well bottom line is it has gps... hope you find this useful good luck...

I want to upgrade to tne HTC Snap, please tell me about the GPS function. Is it gonna cost extra to have this activated? Is it a program that needs to be installed? I own a normal Garmin Gps but would like the gps fumction on my phone.

> In reply to maki in joburg @ 2010-07-03 22:37 from Mfx2 - click to readIn my experience no it doesn't affect the battery, what does is the
is the screen light and the speakers when playing music without headphones. HTC snap battery is very strong
compared to the smartphones I've used before e.g. Nokia N95 8gb, Sony Erricson P1i, Samsung F700... for these phones I had to charge the battery twice a day but the snap I only charge once in two days. And I'm always on the internet, so rest assured that you have a
good communicating device in your hands...

> In reply to maki in Gauteng @ 2010-07-03 15:06 from Mfx2 - click to readRemoving that 3g thing is impossible in my opinion, that is set by your service provider e.g.
vodacom, cellc, mtn or virginmobile. that is there to let you know what internet speed can you connect with
in that particular area you are in. I doubt any the service provider can help you. what you can try is contact
HTC directly maybe they can help... if that is possible, it will be the first that I hear it. Good luck...
