I recently purchased this set from USA, came without a charger. I purchased a charger from a local store and when i put it on charge, it charges in 30 seconds to full and discharges in an hr. I checked my set, its circuit is fine, battery is fine, i have confirmed it with another battery. I live in Pakistan, and the charger is of 220 volts, is it because in USA chargers are of 110 volts. But this set is for Chinese market so it doesn't explain it. One of the technician i showed the set to told me that the charging port is faulty. I don't want to open up my set, should i buy an external charge or what, please if someone has similar situation or is a pro guide me.

All phones have firmware updates why not them. This update will solve all or many of the issues identified.

there are only some unofficial update for the phone. Moto seems never care about support after the phone is sold. also, it has compability issue with a lot of SIMs.

My first ever Android phone, having used Symbian a lot. The problem is Motorola have never updated the firmware of this phone. This phone sometimes overheats though. If they still do not update this phone i will never buy Moto again. Nokia is great, I have had tons of 5800 XpressMusic updates despite its old age

Updates will never happen for this phone. Avoid everything Motorola!

(Sorry for my english). When you put the phone in a horizontal position, does the keyboard goes the same way? or it stays like always as in the iphone?

A major phone chain store in HK is having a sale on this phone: US$305 unlock without contract, plus goodies like (non-original) spare battery & charge cradle, screen protector, and other freebies.

Not bad for those new to Android

I have been using this phone since August 2010, and shortly after I have noticed dust particles in the screen, does anyone else have this problem? Besides this issue the phone is great.

Guys i have a xt701 i bought from china, do u guys know whether i can install the android market in my fone cz i did nt cme with it.

or wud it be possible to change my entire OS to default setting with market and google maps???

Just got the last copy at the network I'm using, and with discount it cost me US$357. (vs. US$434 as the suggested price) The only reason is I like all these apps but keep running out of space on my Milestone & Cliq, and Defy won't be available at least til Dec. So...
