@ Boyz....yet another question. The phone is able to capture videos at QCIF level (176*220), but again reviews say it can play downloaded MP4 videos of 320*240 resolution. Can you confirm that for me? The other thing is with the web browser. Can you browse in landscape mode? And the third and last Q...can it play AAC files? The w810 reviews say it can play AAC files but I have one and it cant! I like AAC files coz they much smaller than MP3 but you can still maintain quality at a bitrate of 128kbps.

compared to k510 the k550 has:
-quad band
-edge support
-smaller form factor
-fm radio
-higher resolution display
-memory slot
-syncML support
if all those things don't matter to you, then thats ok, but don't make it look like they have an identical feature set

K510 was aunexpected hit,basically low cost but this k550 is double price with only 1.3MP to 2.0Mp cam,rest is facelift ad esp the shine n body is worst as scratshes appear.cyber-shot is only for sale gimmic nothing extra ordnary like walkman logo nothing extra normal player like Real or Medis ply.the flat designs r trademark of SE,and the origin or made n never mentioned,thats bcz Made n Cina SURE

Hey bob... haven't tried yet the headphone itself or even using bluetooth, but i do believe it would be the same as thru the speaker. btw, it does have equalizer which i don't find it useful coz tried to level high for the bass but only minimal effect. if you're lookin for a budgt hpone with superb quality pix but poor video this is the ONE.
If ur looking for a phone that has everything except for 3G then this is the one...next question pls..

To Boyz...have you yet tried out the A2DP profile with stereo sound via bluetooth? Does the bass sound adequate with the supplied stereo headphones? The reason I ask is coz reviews say the picture quality in w610 is not as good as the k550. Just wondering if I can drop the w610 from my list and do without the megabass.

Is it right that this phone doesn't have a joystick, but a D-Pad?
If that's the case, then we should say bye to the joystick issues that previous SE phones have. :D

Im back! I got this for a couple of weeks for now.. now here's my further comment..
pros : Speaker was very loud than what i expected, ID caller display was superb, the joystick? I would'nt call it a joystick coz its more like navigational pad which is solid-like, screen still clear to see under direct sunligh, cost? affordable approx HKD2180 (USD320),casing solid enough,picture quality? SUPERB!,phone flash? fantastic.
cons: Video camera SUCKS! if you're into SMS/texting forget about it coz its kinda difficult to do it in no# pads,design? so-so,battery life? okay,playing music kinda so-so coz too much hissing sounds.Anyone wanna ask more details?...lemme know..

i havent tried it yet, but for me hmmm yeah youre right the joystick sucks!!!
tried it in k608i, w810i same probs after a month of using it..
but wer not talkin bout the joystick here'
the camera, resolution and etc...
sounds cool, i dunno how cool is the camera..

TFD as i knew is much better than TFT why???, coz its superb picture even it stuck by sunlight its still crystal clear and low usage of battery life not like the TFT the consumption of battery life consume much faster

should be cheap i think...
cuz its a budget phone!
but then i was hoping that SE will
come out with another Xenon flash phone

jz want to ask anyone who bought this fone f the joystick becomes a trouble after a few days of usage?
well i bought a k300 and my joystick broke jz after 3 days of using it, same with other SE fones i bought it.
i think the problem with the joystick should be brought attention to by the SE engineers! good day to all!!

wats the big deal with cybershot?, its the same feature in sony digicams that most users barely like or use, i cant see why someone would buy a phone because of cybershot
