I really like the phone but i am worried about the flip, will the problem of the blank screen (white screen of death) also occur with this version?
known that:
i had a flip phone Sony ericsson Z 520 and the problem of blank screen (white screen of death)was very bad and it happened 3 times and each time i pay money to fix it,and i read somewhere that W 508 is a twin to T707 and the T 707 is typically as Z 610 and the last one had the same problem with the blank screen
any one can help about this issue

You should just go with the colour that you like. The styleup cover is customizable so you can always get new ones made according to your liking. I just placed an order for 3 customized covers. It costs about RM59 each including shipping charges. Its a little pricey but you get to design your own cover and get it made so its unique.

yes you are right i have seen other videos other than the previous one and it doesn't look as shiny as the previous ad
what do u think which one of the 2 colours best suits a man?
i think that the white one from the internal interface is good one but the exterior part would be better if replaced by a grey metal

1. The styleup cover is made of glossy material and internally, the keypad has plastics with brushed aluminum motives. All in all, it is not as shiny as the ad displayed it to be.
2. There is a cable for PC connection, a 1Gb memory card, an additional styleup cover, a PC Suite/MediaGo software CD and a headset with an adapter with a 3.5mm jack.
3. So far so good. The start up can be slow though. After that, its ok. Don't believe the reviewer from CNET Australia who said the caller's voice is not discernible. I can recognize every caller's voice from incoming calls with this phone. The battery lasts for 2 days when I use bluetooth heavily to transfer media files (mp3, mp4, etc), setting 3G on, sending and receiving many sms, occasional calls, 3 hours of music, played a few videos and changing themes and wallpapers very often.
What I like:
1. Having used the LG Cookie (great features, poor processor = slow), it is a blessing to use a keypad again. Writing SMS is much better with a keypad.
2. The threaded conversation feature is good. I can delete sms from a particular conversation all at once.
3. Flash animation for wallpapers. There's no point having a 3 inch screen when you can't even put up a flash file as a wallpaper. And I like my wallpapers to move about with flash animation.
4. Styleup covers. Now my phone can change "clothes" like me. I can design my own covers (and I have done that) and get them made at the SE website.
5. Great sound in the tradition of the Walkman series.
6. Themes Creator (separate download) allows me to make my own themes.
7. This phone allows many customization options (styleup covers, themes, etc).
What I do not like:
1. The YouTube software does not play flv files uploaded from my PC. Only for streaming.
2. Not many themes available exclusively for the W508 yet. Only 3 so far (Clarity theme does not count!). Even though other flash themes (eg from T707) can be used, the menu will only display the classic icons and not the flash animation icons appropriate for the theme.
3. No autofocus for the camera.
4. No video recording in 30 frame rates.
5. The SenseMe software from MediaGo does not make sense! (not accurate at all!)
I can live with the dislikes still so I am quite satisfied with it so far.

Battery- 2 days then half gone... i don't know consider good or not good, but i believe it all depends on how u use the hp..
System- OK! not lag...
The rest ie: application software i not going to make any comment because im the new user of SE also.. so i can't compare it with the previous model... im still trying to figure out all the function =)

every shop sure got sell original hp lah.. u just go n say u wan original, not AP, then will do.. is around rm 880 with 2 years warranty and 1GB memory card and the normal accessory things inside the box...
or u can directly go to Sony Ericsson shop, but it will be much more expensive, almost rm 1000..
