This phones ticks all the right boxes for me. Ive pre ordered one already hehe
its got a great unique design that stands out from the crowd.
it has great screen technology. The best for viewing in direct sun light!
The 4inch screen is just perfect.
its got a great camera with a shutter key!
the memory and processors is more than enough for ME. it does the job!
If you guys plan to store and watch movies but run out of space, it support USB ON THE GO!
Judging on some reviews/comment I've seen, the battery life seems reasonable just like any other smart phone. it can easily last a day which I'm happy about. I'm don't plan to watch movies on a small screen anyway and I'm not a heavy gamer.
oh i just saw this review. I'm excited now! hehe

> In reply to gsmreader @ 2012-05-26 13:14 from iD6e - click to readAre you talking about the display issue given in the review site? If so, I find it hard to believe. Every other website has been talking about how Xperia P display is the brightest out there. Verge review does not mention any of this problem. Maybe this one website got a defective unit, or they had accidentally turned down the brightness manually or something.
As far as browser goes, I am sure ICS should resolve that. Plus there are tons of other third party browsers you can choose if you so desire.
Waiting for GSMarena review, aside any major oversights by Sony, I will probably buy this phone. Possibly the black one.

> In reply to gsmreader @ 2012-05-26 11:42 from iD6e - click to readHey, sorry, do u say battery is bad?
But "v3" and "The verge" review says battery backup is good.
Here is the Pros of Xperia P from "V3" review...
Pros:
Great camera, light yet sturdy design, "good battery life", NFC enabled.
Here is the comment from "The verge"...
The Xperia P managed around 14 hours of use, including an hour and a half of camera work, watching a two-hour video, two hours of gaming, and over an hour of calls. In reality it’ll get you to the end of the day without any issues, and if you're not a heavy user you'll get a couple of days out of it.
In real i guess this is what most of android phones provide. Look, 1.5hrs of camera work and 2hr video and 2hr gaming all these include 5.5hrs of screen usage. So, if still Xperia P provides 14hrs of backup then its good enough, keeping in mind that its an android phone. May be you are feeling this too less if you are in need for any graphics dependent games or something like that.
P.S: I'm not offending, this is purely just my opinion.

anyway we can wait and see whether the ics update will fix battery or not.
u can see the difference between both htc s and xperia p display in one comparision of browser on youtube.
hope they can have something to deal with display performance

> In reply to gsmreader @ 2012-05-26 00:46 from iD6y - click to readDid you read something I didn't? The Verge review says you get a 14 hour battery life after a 2 hour video watching, surfing, and playing some more with the camera. And a couple of days worth of juice if you use the phone without all of that. That's plenty of battery. You aren't going to find a smart phone which lasts longer even with additional capacity of battery.

> In reply to Swift @ 2012-05-25 21:23 from vG0N - click to readi read the verge review and it is quite disappointing.
i changed my mind althought the phone looks beauty but sony put ruined it with battery and os and display performance.
it is not good that you sony run out of good designs without any profits because of poor policy in the specs that they insist on putting on its phones.
hope that they release sx worldwide

What is worrying is both this review and the one from The Verge points out some lags and stuttering of the OS...

> In reply to HSB @ 2012-05-25 14:48 from vbJ1 - click to read...etc? Dont think so. I mean not every android samsung phones with front facing camera providing 3g video call function. Including their high end models for american market - the reason behind this is there is no demand of native video call in USA. 3G connection already available in US - I think since 2001, but 3G video call has never been available in that country and probably never will be. For this reason, the US market does not expect 3G-324M functionality from a phone with an FFC.
Probably for this reason neither Google nor handset makers (Sony, HTC, Motorola) regard it as an absolute priority on a phone with an FFC – it is rather an optional extra.
...and speaking about Samsung having this function on their several models, samsung has their own customization to put 3G codec over android system.
Btw iPhone also dont have this feature...!
