No matter how good your marketing is, if the product does not deliver, it will not sell. You're prejudice. A lot of iphone users are Symbian and winmo users as well, me counted. And to think that the iphone is an American product, Americans are tech savvy. Sorry, but bt file transfer and 8mp camera on a phone do not impress us, a phone that rarely lags and freezes do with thousands and thousands of apps do. But I'm sure to people who does not own big screen hd tv's, high end cameras, and can't afford to buy music and videos, they settle for what their phone can offer and are impressed by it.

The iphone would actually sell more if it's unlocked and w/out a contract because it will be free from restrictions. But then, it would be useless to argue over a matter that will not happen.

Give me an iPhone with iPhone OS 3 any day you can keep your junk to yourself.

I don't care what your phone can do, I care about what my iPhone does and how I use it in relation to my needs not yours.

Guys don't judge any phone if you don't own own one . Many ppl says omnia ii and HD are better . But have you actully own and played with it? Don't just say the phone is better bcoz it hAs better specification. If that's true then there a lot of chinese brand phone which has better specificaion with tv tuner, costs less than $100. Does that mean it's the best fone?

Rubbish.

1) Omnia HD got Bigger 3.8 inch AMOLED screen and higher resolution 360x640 pixels vs jurassic 320x480 iphone screen
2) HD video vs VGA video on iphone.
3) DNSe 2.0 (Digital Natural Sound Engine) and Virtual 5.1 channel Dolby surround on HD vs nothing on iphone
4)Memory card expansion vs no card slot on iphone
5)CIF video call secondary camera on HD vs none on iph
6)DiVX support on Omnia HD vs nothing
7)Stereo FM radio (apple just woke up to this on Nano)
8) Removable battery on HD vs stuck-up on iphone
9)HD available on most networks. Apple stuck with one.
10)Higher iphone price while losing in above areas.

LG chocalate and lg shine.They both didnt know you could buy an unlocked smartphone not offered by rogers and pop your sim card in and go.

If the iphone wasnt offered on contract and you had to buy it unlocked for 600 or 700 i bet apple wouldnt sell nearly as many.

Like any of us here are software engineers or programmers who could really dissect the algorithm of the winmo, symbian or osx to explain which one has the most complex and advanced os. But, for end users like us, the biggest sign or basis of a stable and capable os, is by its performance. The iphone rarely freezes or lags, while winmo and symbian devices lags and freezes often enough that freezing and lagging have become standard features, lol.

The i-phone is certainly a good device, however I would suggest it is molre inclined toward people using it for fun. The HTC Touch-Pro 2 is far superior in every way and is a serious business phone as well as having some fun aspects. I purchase around 50 mobiles every 6 months for business and without exception those with the HTC are utterly delighted whilst I still hear those with an i-phone moaning about technical glitches.
