ZTE is a Chinese manufacturer of mobiles specifically for the Australian Telstra Next G network. ZTE is not only a provider of mobile phones but wireless internet keys, which are currently able to handle speeds of up to 21MBps, which has set a Guiness World Record for Telstra for the fastest wireless broadband network in the world, as well as already having a world record for having the first network of its kind.

Research and Development

| Telstra only. The older ZTE's were absolute crap, but the newer models are much more reliable. They're not spec heavy, but they get the job done. |

| ZTE seem to be pretty good at helping telstra to create niche phones, like the T7 and T2 for the elderly, 158 and 159 for tradies (major lack of 3g trady phones in australia) where i know they where crap in the begining (i took joy in every 252 i snapped in half) i think telstra told them to lift their game, or loose the contract, and they seem to be doing that, will be interesting to see what else ZTE can give the aussie market |
