I bought ideos U8150 which uses only vodafone network in Ghana, after decoding it I have difficulty downloading applications from the android market. can't update applications downloaded. Though I can download applications which are not from the mark...

Never worry. It is the network. It sometimes switches to 375kbs thats it will display 3g. If is above 1mbs it will display hdspa. Never worry.
