but why not HD2 ..so you can get a more up-to-date phone with really good specs and most importantly CHEAPER!

If you mention the Pre and the 3GS, why not mention the HTC Hero? It's available in Europe and I would prefer it over the 3GS and the Palm Pre.

@sauron the magnifice : More in NON-MULTI-TASKING as well!! Appple iphone to be honest is the best looking mobile phone out there but still they missed out on a few must have's...multi tasking is what these "mobile computers" as they are refered to now is all about. Why does windows have the hibernate function?? They are not computers if they can only do one thing at a time. Please apple, next step implement multitasking even if you have to limit the amount of apps. I want to watch video clips whilst my emails are in sync; be on messenger whilst i am working on a spreadsheet on the underground or something. Big up Pre, u addressed this matter perfectly even though you didnt build the best looking device. That keyboard is a plus as well...improves productivity than these slow hard to use touchscreen keyboards!

Seems unfair to the UK ppl.
We would pay Nearly £30 a month whilst the Euro's get it for less than £20 a month!
This phone would sell if it was affordable, since its iphone money without the 16gb and autofocus etc its just not worth the money!
either it comes down in price before launch or ppl most likely will just go for the iphone!
also the keyboard is MEGA small, and the built quality is an issue :(
i still want one :)

should have them both(pre&3gs) if ur a phone geek...
But if 1 cant afford -3Gs is easy-to-use;more stable;more apealing;more simple for every day usage;more multimedia oriented; more expansive; more priced when selling on ebay; almost more in every way exept...
Well pre- how should i put it- pre- is more prefessional...
