Windows Mobile 6.5.1 screenshots appear, look more like it - read the full textThe Windows Mobile 6.5 has been around for less than a month now but Microsoft are already busy preparing an update for it. Good for them as so far nobody is overly excited about their iterative OS upgrade. And from what the leaked screenshots suggest, the next version might actually be good for...

Most are waiting for Windows mobile 7 to arrive. This is a tidy cosmetic tweak for Windows mobile users and there is no denying it is a step in the direction of optimising the o.s. for mobile as opposed to pda use.

Currently using 6.5.1 for abouth two weeks. As always WM is good for many things for those that not - phone manufacturers are takes care long time ago. For one thing I must agree this is what the 6.5 should have been in the first place. Anyway now WM is fully finger friendly and one hint to get to neighbour tab you can press arrow or the name of neighbour tab or just drag finger sideways anywhere on current tab. All of menus and drop down menus are dragable too. One of the greatest new things is zoom bar - when you touch title bar the zoom bar drops down with nice finger friendly icons.

been cooking WM6.5.1 for a long time....after 23017 ;)

it is better than WM6.5, but still, its nowhere near as smooth as Android or Apple OS.

m$ needs to work hard if they want to keep WinMo alive, i personally believe they are going to struggle. Visually, WinMo is awful and very old looking, it isn't new or fresh. Yet, it is functional. With all the new OS'es available now; WinMo could sink to even lower depths.

That's great for Micorsoft, but what about us users? Can we upgrade our WinMo phones with this new version or as always is this intended just for new phones?
