This is just silly. Why on earth would you, the greatest phone manufacturer on earth, ditch YOUR gaming platform just to become part of an app store?

The famous N-Gage is going to be just another game section of an app store. A pity, really.

n-gage just keeps dying... it's probably because of the name, as everyone associates it with the failure phone

Nokia has for long found itself itself in the position of establishing its platform as the biggest gaming platform ever but has continually shot itself in the foot by the virtue of been the number smartphone manufacturer and also the number one manufacturer of mobile device and has continually failed to take advantage of it.
The first incarnation failed due to its hardware restriction and the second one also failed by the fact that not all symbian devices are capable of supporting it. The symbian ecosystem on even nokia is fragmented. some applications don't work on all devices. this situation is good for developers. the UI end seriously needs to be revamped. there is enough eye candy on the symbian phones. The foundation needs to step up its efforts in providing a good response to the iphone and the sense UI or even the S-Class interface and cube. these are good example to follow

Nokia is going down! Only Google with Android and Apple with the iphone will survive with success! Check it out in 4 years!

what?

N-Gage was part of OVI suite..??

it was actually starting to take shape??

why could't they just rename it to OVI games or something like with Nokia Maps now being OVI maps..

anyway who cares about Nokia and Symbian anymore.. not like n-gage games where really worth playing.

HTC touch HD2, Hero and SE X10...

Intersting, no one is screaming 1st or 2nd. Good thing but I think they are in shock, well Nokia must have a better alternative for it. I never been to N-Gage so I can't say anything but Hmm, they should not drop a good standard to follow another one.
