And wasn't the almighty brand being the one who struggled through mini-SD/MMC/RsMMC for YEARS before it settled with micro-SD....after x years when Moto first used micro SD in its E398?

Last I heard from my friend's 5800 still does NOT support CHARGING by USB...

Nokia is the lead in the industry because of their marketing strategies.
They make it available worldwide.
They make it SIM free giving end users every thing the phone can offer.
Even here in far away Nigeria, it takes only weeks for Latest Nokia phones to get to us.

Other companies since they did it but it wasn't on a mainstream point like how apple portraid the iphone
But everyone now is just their plans for touchscreen phone were not even that important in their agenda
But now since apple almost monopolized touch screen dominant phones it's high priority now

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2009-11-20 05:13 from Er2M - click to readyea i though you meant it that way but apple fans think products of their company are like a religious thing, much more than nokia's fans do,
the only reason nokia had such a massive fan base was cause it was much further in tech on phones, wifi, gps, 3.5mm, usb, these were amazing things back than.
too bad it never bothered to realize progression was required,
we're both saying nokia's behind

In case you think I'm part of the gang, I can tell u I have NEVER owned any handset / product by the almighty brand, and I would rather NOT use a phone if the almighty brand is the only one that makes mobile phones...
So can u understand why I call "almighty brand"???

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2009-11-20 01:10 from Er2M - click to readyes it is, adding a extra function just for americans is costly when producing millions of units,
haven you seen how these companies minise costs but cutting on materials, functions etc..
why would they bother when the rest of the world is using a standard freq
and Almightly brand? dude do you know how big Samsung is?
Samsung's mobile division might be half of nokia's but in the overall tech worlds Samsung and Sony are massive

resistive touch screens can also be sensitive enough. see samsung's enhanced resistive touchscreens on some of their high end touch phones.
