Motorola W7 Active Edition is now announced, looks better in black - read the full textRemember the previously leaked weird W7, which most people found quite ugly? Now it's officially announced and we must say it looks better - ugliness is no longer its key feature with the new black color. The newly announced MOTO W7 Active Edition sports a 2.2-inch QVGA display, a 2 megapixel...

Joke phone, just look at the specs. Nokia has more value for the money. You can find a Nokia phone with 3G for half the price, and all other specs will be doubled as well, while this doesn't even have any of it...

A 3 mp camera simply creates larger pictures than a 2 mp camera, and not necessarily having better quality. Budget camera phones with normal lenses and sensors tend to have mediocre quality, no matter how high their megapixels are.

Quality over quantity, buddy.

This moto seems to be well featured,
only problem is the camerA.

There's only 2mp camera that too with no flash.....
Even though i am a die hard fan of moto..... I would go for SE C510

which has same features and one of the best 3mp camera

> In reply to sick&tired @ 2009-05-13 06:42 from uCpX - click to readI have owned these Motorola phones and are still kicking strong:

RAZR V3
RIZR Z3
RAZR V6
SLVR L6
ROKR E8 (current)

So, I have at least 3 years experience with Motorola products. They're not at all weak and sluggish, as long as you take care of them. If you want to complain about the interface, then you should look at the new Linux UI's of newer phones like the RAZR2 V8 and ROKR E8. They're stable, fast, and miles ahead of its older P2K OS counterparts.

You can also modify your phone's software using only a USB cable, some software and your unit. Mods out today can really improve the software, even unlocking new features and speed up the system by 50 percent.

> In reply to jjsoviet @ 2009-05-12 10:17 from v0qu - click to readave you used a motorola phone before? I was using the L9, until I lost it, and IMO, its one of the worst phone's I have ever used. The interface was slow as hell (and the newer phone's still uses the same OS and the same 2MP camera!). Granted, the phone looks much better in black, but Motorola is still lagging behind and I don't think they will ever catch up.

The specs on this phone is so 2007!

Moto been quiet for a while and this what they came up with? Jeeez! No wonder that most of Motos senior staff left the company last year to go work for Apple. This is a truly sad release from a company that used to be the most innovative in the business. Just leave the handset business with dignity Moto and let people remember Motos true heritage, not trying to survive with sad releases. You had a good run, but you time is up, just let it go Moto.

It's really hopeless to explain ANYTHING to annoying, arrogant fanboy douchebags we see everyday. Leave those suckers alone if they want to hate Motorola. Would anyone care?

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2009-05-12 03:07 from Ta2} - click to readYeah? Such as the ability to charge by USB? (which some US$500+ or US$700 phones from the almighty brand aren't even capable of!)

How about Crystal Talk which makes a phone really a phone? When will bar phones from the I?Music Brand be able to provide such clear conversation?

So who is behind in terms of such "simple but yet essential" technology?
