I think if I place some barrier (like tape or something similar) at back of phone from inside (i.e. after taking the cover off and sticking it from inside of cover), this voice leak from back problem can be fixed for good? Anyone tried this..? If yes, then, what is the result and the overall sound quality? Thanks...

and I'm also concerned about voice leakage from back; because if it exists, there's obviously no privacy

is there a voice leakage from the back side like 1202? if yes then its crap...and how many msgs can be stored in the phone memory. please answer this...

I've read here this phone has voice leakage from backside. Is voice leakage very significant, or, how would you classify it? Please reply- thanks!

if it has voice leakage from back side, I think that's the only negative point in it. Otherwise, it's a good phone for the price.

So, can some one tell me exactly _how_ much is the voice leakage from back a problem? Like, if I'm talking to someone, would people around me be listening to the whole conversation as well? Well I wouldn't like _that_.

I was (still am) really eager to buy this phone, until I heard about the voice leakage problem. So if anyone can clearify this issue, I'd appreciate it.

Nokia 1616 is now available in Cambodia for 36 USD. It is confirmed that there's voice leaked at the back.

there is no centre button.
It is only a 4 direction key.
The phone does have some microphone leak problem.

The Nokia 1616 is an excellent basic mobile phone, nice looking, looks more expensive than what u paid for, very high ring tone in its category, much more higher than 1650,1208,5030 .. etc ..,very high call sound, durable, impressive screen in its category very easy to use, and thin u can put it in your pocket and u will forget it is there ... nice vibration .. the only thing I miss is an internal antenna.
I recommend it if u need a basic or second phone

does the nokia 1616 have a five way navi pad? meaning does the center button work?

Correction of my last opinion.
Today I received a call, I noticed that the ear peace voice is very high and the voice quality is normal. Its flash light is good as well but I have not compared it whith any other. But I dont like its clock font style on idle mode actually I like the clock font style of Nokia 3100. Overall I recommend one to buy this phone.

is there a voice leak problem like 1202. if the voice is like 1200, 1208 & 1209 it is money worth value u can use it as a second phone, for rough use its the best

I probably have big to medium thumb-size and I have difficulty pressing buttons with its keypad. Fully functional. I am disappointed with its lack of USB since I usually connect it to my PC so I can't update phonebooks and its firmware.

Sturdy feel, compact design, sleek, and nice color tone. Not to mention, it's also cheap. Well, you get what you pay for. Not a bad phone, if I may say so.
