Yes, google maps does not have the voice guidance. But, so far OVI maps are not for E71 as I too have been trying to download it for my E71. That is why so for google maps is better than OVI. If and when the lets us do that we will come to know. I am at it, so, keep in touch.

Based on my personal experience with e71
This phone has some serious issues with its camera! After one year of usage I had to change my camera module for about 1/4th the phone price "because it was heating up like crazy and the battery was getting drained after 8 hrs of NO USAGE at all". Now, after fixing it "supposing that they actually DID FIX IT at Nokia Care" the phone is still warm all the time, battery draining in 4 hrs ...

Used to love that phone, but now I just hate Nokia!!!

Any similar problems ... Please share.

i really hope someone can help me i have deleted my contacts on this fone and they were saved to the phone memory is there any way of getting them back?

Thanks for your information about google map for e71. But as far as I know googlemap has not voice navigation like OVi Map/Nokia map. So I am interested to know about the free licence of OVI map for Nokia E71. I knew from Nokia service people that Nokia OVI map would be free within 1-2 months for E71.
Any remarks/idea about that ??

it is very good phone for internet browsing .. n chatting allows the user to free of cost through wifi ..

I read from somewhere that Nokia E71 phone has a feature that helps to capture namecard information. Do you know why can i find it or how to activate it?

That shows your ignorance as every thig available on the phone. You just have to read the manual, which, obviously you have not. Please read the manual. All your questions are answered there.

It's a no no to have kinda of phone. It freezes up, retrieval of MMS is not allowed at some point hence you have your MMS settings activated. Right now, I don't even have my photos, heavens knows where are they! Under the Media, there's no gallery/pictures anymore. You can capture a picture but you'll never have a chance to see it again. It's actually a cold phone!

The license you are talking of is for the Nokia/OVI maps. They are not half as good as Google maps are. Download google maps free from www.google.com and use the GPS with features like Latitude with which your group of friends can keep track of one another's location live after configuring once. Google maps is the ultimate mapping service and it is free too with no restrictions of time or anything. Try it and you would forget Nokia/OVI maps.

I know E71 has Built-in GPS.
But I have seen licence for GPS navigation is only for 3 months. In case of E72 Ovi Map can be installed for lifetime navigatiopn.

Please inform in case of E71 whether we can use free GPS ?

Reply is very importnat for me as I want to use GPS.
