Nokia just released the N-series "music edition" in Malaysia. They are price equivalent with the ordinary N-series phones. For instance, N73 (music ed) sold at MYR 2k, with 2Gb memory card & latest firmware inclusive. They have even modified the multimedia key (on right) to music player. The speakers are much improved, louder and sharper.
However, I still like the original N73 design but terrible firmware. I was wondering can the new firmware in music ed. be installed / upgraded to ori. N73.
A mistake has it repeated! Nokia! A joke!

i bought n73 abt 2 months ago from dubai.
im facin some serious firmware problem. does any1 knw when would nokia post updates on their website??

n73 takes too long to load, is it just my one or do all of them take ages? i mean opening a file, it takes long to open anything!

To Pfmh:- Hi,the main problems r
1/. n73 dont ask u like: "This file already exits. Do u want to over write ?" it is saving again and again the samee files. Or u have to delete the files after saving which deletes all the fotos etc and ur wallpaper fotos also deletes.
2/. Alarm :In siemens they have week days ,so u can selecct the days for the alarm activate eg: I dont want alarm on sunday,so I can tick off sunday . once u set it, there is no need to adjust the alarm every day, or every weeek ,or everymonth .
3/.Recording voice :In sony erricson u can rec according to the memory . but in this u can record only one minute.
4/ Wallpeper :- Till now I m not able to put full screen wallpaper like siemens. Do u have any solution?
5/Menu on the screen: There is no option to remove or edit the shortcut menu on the main screen.
till now I found only these limitation.

my gf has this and i have the k800i and i must say the k800i is far better. camera quality is better theres better and more games..the n73 i find is slow to use aswell and when i tried to install al the file transfer software to the pc for her i found it was miles more confusing and harder to use than k800i.and is just me or does the screen quality seem a bit off and pixelated?? obviously they both have flaws as no phone is perfect but this doesnt go well with me...what anyone else think?

anyone using a 2gb toshiba card? only £22 from memorymegastore.com which is pretty cheap.

Just got my n73 delivered yesterday. got it from vodafone but had some probs, firstly the box they sent was not sealed, i was told they would send a 128mb card which was not there, the memory card cover was missing and even the little vodafone sticker on the front was squint, so i wasn't a happy boy. Phoned them and i'm getting a new one sent out. i can't help thinking i've been taken for a mug though.
Anyway got the phone up and running and i have to say i was very impressed by the whole setup beautifull screen, superb camera and so on, what really surprised me though was the speed of it, i've had symbian phones before and they were slow slow slow but this is really very quick compared to say the 6600, n70 phones i've had. once i get the new one from vodaphone and used for a few days i'll come back and let you all know if it really is the mutts nutts or not.

Hi jagstar, it is only a mobile, what advanced functions are you expecting? anyway, there are so many appz, tones, games, wallpapers, themes to download free.....so my N73 can last me for ages...

I have used a Moby 2gb card for 2 mounths now and it has been working fine and now it is at 1.9gb full, 1.1 gb of music and 0.8 gb of movies. I have not noticed significant reduction in speed of operation.

i agree with you Aaron. i plan to buy 2Gb memory card but in Nokia side it says support up to 1Gb only. Does it mean when we slot in 2GB memory card it will make our phone malfunction or it only read 1Gb only?

dint know you could get 4gb mini sd?i had a 2gb a while back in a ericsson k750 and it worked fine,even with full films on,still had plenty of room.
