WM can natively deal with 16,7 Mio. colors (24 Bit)as it is a 32 Bit OS. 24Bit or 32 Bit Colordepth will need a bigger framebuffer and faster Bustransfer to the CPU or GPU otherwise u will expericence significant collapse of the framerate(performance. The main reason why most handsets are limitated @16Bit is just due to the limitted Memorysize of 256MB or the lack of dedicated VRAM for a fast and bigger Framebuffer. U can compare todays Mobilephone hardware with Desktop PCs of 1995,24 Bit colordepth was also extra ordinary

Something to do with it being 32 bit and touch screen which would make higher colour palette too energy consuming. I'm not sure why but short of WM7 being 90% new code, I think the 65k limits would remain.

Hmm this makes planning a real pain. I had my eyes set on the Touch Diamond 2 when the price drops in a few months. But this 3.7" Omnia2 is making me think again. About the only bad thing is the dongle stylus mostly because of the way I use my phones. Still investing in a good pouch or leather casing might help. So Touch Diamond 2 or Omina2. Omnia2 packs a better processor and much bigger screen. On the other hand, HTC has well HTC's name I guess.

No 8MP camera. Ok, let's say that the 5MP is still doable.
But no stereo sound! Man, this is the worst offer I have ever heard on earth as a successor of the Omnia i900.
This is definitely a no go with this "beta" specs.
Let me put it this way. My last HTC had stereo sound, and that was at least 2 years ago. Samsung is definitely not advancing with WM phones!!! Mediocre offer.
