A620 is better than 350D! Damn I hope is because of those cheap kit lenses.

Wow. If you take a $850 camera
http://www.amazon.com/Canon-Di...p/B0007QKN22
and $80 lenses
http://www.bobatkins.com/photo...dlenses.html

It completely beats a phone's camera. You opened my eyes, friend. I will definitely be looking at this phone. Its the first phone which is compared directly to a DSLR, not all other phones.

in fact, the pixon12 doesn't win the A620. It wins it in terms of resolution but very marginally. In terms of others, the A620 steps ahead.

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2009-06-26 17:22 from MWWmthe pixon12 only wins the a620 very marginally. I'm not here to criticize pixon12 for your info. I did say it was pretty impressive for a phone camera. But still, check again, the pixon12's images are definitely overprocessed. The A620 has less sharpening applied, resulting in a less-processed image. The pixon12 captures the same amount of detail as the 350D as the 350D was using a 18-200 lens. See that? 18-200 lenses are never famous for their image quality, but for convenient's sake instead. So, if i were to throw in a prime lens like 50mm, the 350D is many strides ahead of pixon12.
By the way, i am not talking about colour at all. All the images look good except that the innov8 has slightly lower contrast.
So buddy, check the images again, especially the close-up ones, since pixon12's images isn't really better than the A620's. It is slightly better than the innov8's but more image processing is done and that isn't too good.
Still, i must say the pixon12's image quality is rather impressive for a handphone camera. And i don't really talk about colour since there isn't a great difference between these 4 cameras in terms of colour.

the pixon12 is indeed many times better than the innov8. I took a closer look and saw less noise and detail smearing, although oversharpening (makes it looks like pixelated) is extremely perceptible. Still, it is not as good as the A620. It is definitely far from the 350D (a good lens will further increase the great difference)."

you really need to check your eyes there buddy, while samsung pixon12 had some over sharpening but the color is more vivid and natural than the digital camera and the DSLR. so sorry but the samsung pixon12 beats the a620 hands down and is not far from the DSLR 350D it's a few merely away to match DSLR. visit an eye doctor

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2009-06-26 17:07 from 3itgsomewhat. They are over processed (see those oversharpening?), and are only marginally better than innov8's. The 2 canons pawn the pixon12 by a lot but this is to be expected.

Finally, somebody who talks sense!

I'm sick to death of all these fanboys who are die-heard supporters of one particular brand. This is not football, its not motor racing, it's not even a sport, yet people blindly follow one particular "team" and treat people who don't share their opinion like the enemy. Why?

The sooner people wake up and realise that limiting themselves to only one manufacturer only achieves two things - 1) it deprives them of their basic human right of choice and 2) makes them look like closed-minded fools.

I too use the Innov8 after years of using phones from every major manufacturer out there, and I also work in the industry, and I can honestly say it's the best phone I've ever come across. I abandoned Nokia in the last 90s, soon after they began replacing their solid, durable user-friendly portfolio with plastic, fragile. buggy, uninspired tat, and am uber-impressed with the way Samsung are heading, but like you, would use another manufacturer in a heartbeat if the right phone came along.....

It's quite simple people, maybe theres a war going on with the manufacturers, but that shouldn't become a war between consumers, we should be rejoicing at the amount of choice we have, not squabbling about which is best. So please, either grow up, shut up, Or both!

A comparison with SE C905 would be nice since that is the 8mp photo king at the moment.

your claims of Nokia's OLED innovation will die after reading the news.

please now open your eyes and stop criticising Samsung unnecessarily.

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2009-06-26 13:30 from nbuyExcuse me. If you dont't remember then please see Samsung S8300. It was released much before Nokia's OLED phone. So how can you say samsung copied this?
Also samsung didn't show Pixon in WMC Barcelona as they had a lot to show there already (Like Omnia HD, Beat, S8300). SE had no other major annoncement and just showed a phone that was very early in design stage.
Also why are you contradicting yourself. regards to LED you consider releasing as a measure of initiative and with 12MP you consider announcement :D.

I would love to see your other proofs.
