am having serious problem with my new samsung A897, when the phone is lock and i did open with it .. it's keep telling me to press the lock button and when i make calls i cant hear the person am calling only if i put it on speak ...pls help me out???

900 hsdpa does not work I have the phone unlocked using orange network it does not pick up 3g on the 900 band. Everithing works fine but only on edge even though this phone is supposed to support quad band 3g. I have other phones live my samsung galacy ace works great on the 900 hsdpa band. The purpose o me gettig this phone was to use a usb modem and back up phone sad to see the 900 3g band does not work. 3g on the 850 band works great but my internet provider which I have a contract with uses only 900

When texting using the T9Ab how do you delete the odd "words" that come up on the drop down list??? I went to an ATT store and they had no clue.

if you are downloading a ringtone from att it auto locks so you cant send it to other people and they get money for them also it only works on the phone u download it too

I have had the phone for a couple months. I pretty much like it but i have one issue with it. Everytime that i download a ringtone, the phone automatically locks it. I have tried to unlock them but i've had no luck. I have been meaning to call at&t but i haven't gotten around to it. Can somebody help me?

I recently figured out that I can tether with this phone and have been able to do so without any problems. However, I do not know if this is racking up any extra charges. I have the internet plan with the phone ($10/month) as well as unlimited texting. Am I being charged extra?

I wish this phone had 1. Wifi 2. Threaded SMS 3. The option to get rid of that ever-increasing annoying butterfly screen saver background (Don't worry, there are other backgrounds) 4. The Message icon doesn't move when you place it on a specific place on the screen. (When you receive a text it jumps). Other than that, its a pretty good phone.

Since we know that providers do lock some capabilities on phones. As for our friend who couldn't see the need for wifi. I had an Iphone I got from Canada and I was using it as phone with AT&T without data plan and surfing the internet with wifi only and it was just enough for me, I was also able to make international longdistance call through Skype on wifi.
