Have you guys go to Settings --> Connection --> Wireless Lan -->Select Yes -->Select Every x miunte Scan for networks

Then

Settings --> Access points --> Options --> New access point (setup your access point configurations)

i550XXHH1 don't have wifi

i have tried flashing i550XXHH1 on my i550w and wifi menu don't exist..

i flashed back to i550DZHF1

But if i put the wifi firmware in a non-wifi phone, wath happens?
Does he win wifi capability?
Or simply does not work?

the link for the i550pmhe3 firmware is invalid.
Could someone please plavce a good link?

Before i was using i550pmhe3 which has wifi and now i550xxhh1 which does not have wifi....

Wifi depends upon firmware

- So far my imei is still there.

Does this XXHH1 has the portuguese language?
- Yes, it has English, France, Dutch, Spain, itali Portugues, Netherland, Polish and Romania Languages

The remain aplications will not be modified or deleted (quickoffice, Adobe reader, yahoo go...)?
- No change, everything is still there except yahoo.

if better to make a full backup of the phone 1st?
- Well, it is all up to u. But I will do the full backup :)

- 1 very important thing is that i550XXHH1 DOES support WIFI as long as yours is I550W

I have used this phone for 4 months and this forum helps me much in optimizing it. I upgraded the firmware to i550MPHE3 2 weeks after I bought it and it is very stable. For me this phone is best value for money. My battery consumption is 3-5 days in my normal usage. I use garmin mobile xt (you can go to garmin website and download for free). Make sure you install garmin version 5.00.00 (not 5.00.10 or 5.10.20) so that you can save the battery life.

Hm,I'm planning to buy this phone,but some bad reviews here about battery&gps issue have made me feel little worried. By the way I've questions:
a.)how can we change navigon into another software,etc garmin? Is there any free gps software&maps? Links?
b.)Is there anybody who ever try install&play n-gage 2.0 games&apps in this phone?how its performance?

Steps to update Firmware
1. download the apollo and also the s60 download drivers, and of course the firmware.

2. off the phone, and press and hold the keys 7 and * and the on button, all 3 keys together.

3. When the phone shows "Modem Download", connect the USB port to PC, it should automatically prompt you to install the phone driver, point it to the drivers that you have downloaded.

4. Off the phone again, if you can't power it off, just unplug the battery.

5. press and hold the keys 1 and 4 and the on button, all 3 keys together.

6. when there are 3 lines of words in the phone, connect the USB port to PC, it should automatically prompt you to install some other drivers, point it to the downloaded files again.

7. verify that you have the two drivers installed in the Control Panel.

8. REBOOT PC!

9. Run the apollo software, and on the phone while pressing key 4 and 7, all 3 keys together, when the phone shows "Modem Download", make sure "SMD" is unchecked, and just press "All Download", (you will need to select the firmware files downloaded)

10. about 4 minutes later, check the firmware version using *#1234# and use the code 0000000.

One thing else: With Jbak you have to deactivate screensaver.exe THREE times. Not till then it will be closed.

Hi people,

install Jbak and deactivate the process "screensaver.exe". I did it and my battery life increases significantly.

If you have any idea which other process is draining the battery, please post it here.

Hello everyone!

my fw is i550XXGK4.
I can not remap GPs (Navigon) key!
In standy features / shortcuts, only left and right keys can be remapable?
Can some one help, please?
Which is the OS S60 platform? 9.1 ? 9.2? other?
