Definitely wouldn't have named it "Beat DJ" as fiddling about with a few effects and random samples isn't djing. They should take a leaf out of Tonium's book and have a look at their Pacemaker for handheld DJing.
I was a bit excited when i seen this phone on the GSMArena homepage but after reading over the review i'm definitely a bit disappointed.

> In reply to dj flip trix @ 2009-02-17 02:49 from yVgU - click to readflip trix i was merely contrasting samsungs write up about the handset with who they are aiming it at and what its actual functions are. of course its not to replace industry standard gear, but is a waste of time if you cant at least have two tracks to play with or add your own samples for eg. ps, just because you have a couple of sets of decks your mum bought you doesnt mean your a dj either.

Kind of a look of Motorola??? WHY??? Samsung always had a good design, but last few models... horrible! I give one large + to HTC!

Kind of cool for what it is. And, I can see kids and amateur DJs having a lot of fun with it. However, for any serious use, Samsung needs to add more features: like song queuing, being able to mix two or more songs, allow effects to be applied to each individual song when mixing, etc., etc..

Absolutely useless beatdj application. I mean, why would you sit there and fiddle through effects and speed up tempo that doesn't even show the beats per minute. Why would you load flangers and stuff for your music. I mean its ok to throw effects in when your ACTUALLY DJING, but you cant even mix 2 songs together, scratching is totally stupid on this fone, nothing realistic like djing. . this phone should just be labeled as a music phone, beatdj total useless application.

whats the point of calling a handset "Beat DJ" but limiting its music capabilites to just basically, (and i mean basic) manipulating one song? I was assuming the rounded edges of the phone were for pitch bending two tracks playing at the same time, with the middle screen for pitch, volume, eq, and effects. but no, just another gimmick that i can easily purchase through the iphone app store, and even that has more functionality and practicality. covering another niche of the market? i dont think so..

Another horrible Samsung phone! Expensive, and yet slow in performance. Just look at the previews!
