Can we update the software so that we can have QWERTY keyboard in Star 3g?
Also I wanted to know about the battery life, because some sites how its 3hrs talk time and some 8 hrs talk time.. !!!

You can go for Nokia 5530. (Symbian OS S60 smartphone, Wifi, 2.9" touchscreen, 16M color, 3.2 MP cam with autofocus, flash). (But No 3g and gps). It will be releasing in india at the end of aug for sept.

can this phone turn off the Accelerometer feature.
cuz i heard from my friends, the accelerometer comsume more battery.

if so, where can i turn it off?

itz too costly... and poor features...poor screen response... go for nokia 6700 instead itz quite worthy...

An interesting fact for all the Preston users- U can use the front camera(VGA) for viewing yourself by typing- *#0*#.
U can also turn on the flash for using it as a torch!

i dont know how to use 3G but i would want to, and i definitely like the look of Preston than star.

hi would somebody do pls help me.... does samsung preston have a pink color like the samsung star 2g? how about it's camera? is it good? and my boyfriend has a big hand will it not be difficult for him to text bcoz its samsung star 2g its not bcoz samsung preston is much smaller?

- screen is VERY responsive, but there are few moments of lag (just a few milliseconds) after using a program.

@Wanderer
- as for software or hardware, I think none. Both are the same phones but the blade I thin will be exclusive for a certain carrier.

@Robin
- battery is very good. Mine last around 3-4 days with abour 1-2 hour phone calls, music player via bluetooth headset and a lot of SMS.

@doll
- no problem. If you really do have a budget, go for the S8003 instead. Better overall package but I think the battery life suffered because of the upgraded TouchWiz OS v2, wifi, 5mpx AF cam, HSDPA, and not mentioning the massive 800mhz processor. But if you are not really into the bling, the S5603 is the best bang for the buck phone.

does this phone has good toch screen response or it takes some seconds to open after toching the screen.
