Hi everyone, I want to buy Sams Jet or Nokia 5800xm. After much of market analysis, i found Jet is Rs.4k more than 5800 in Bangalore. I am trying to find the worth of that 4k difference.
Improved&far better 5Mp camera+DivX,XVid plaer, better&bigger touchUI, better browzer, FMrecording etc. are the few value additions i found. However one major drawback is - Jet cant tranfer every content to TV (on tv out) its used only for Vid/Audio, (not even for photos?), but 5800 does show any screen on TV.
And JET -NO stereo speakers, 5800-has very good stereo speakers.

Guys, Please help me find in depth technical differences. Only some really really technical comparizon will help. Mobile phone/apps developers? please .... [i know many websites compare physical appearance & features overview, but tough to get hardware capabilities, features&apps for the future & all]

But my question is not just limited to it being just good or bad but related to few functions like whether jet supports direct uploading of files through phone to the wab + does opera mini work on jet or not?

If you are using jet urself and have tried using opera mini on it + uploaded files from phone to web through dolphin or opera mini, then please confirm...

I wanna knw how many SMS dose the jet receive "someone told me 200 SMS at maximum"
but im asking can i make the phone receive on the Secondary memory or i cant ????
plzzzzzzzzzzzz answer meeeee

Hello people!!!My english is not so good and maybe because of that you didnt understand me yesterday...I know that the route 66 is free, but my question was does the using navigation is free, when you sit in a car and start navigation???You must be on line(gprs) because of maps and disburse your credit or not???I think that now my question is clearer.And maybe you know some other GPS program which work off line on this phone??THANKS AGAIN.

i bought a samsung jet s8003 on 31 dec 2009 in India. It had a surprsingly good retail package consisting of stylus, tv out cable, carrying case and other usual goodies. I did try the tv out functionality. I can view the phones video files like divx, xvid,wmv,3gp perfectly on my sony wega 29 inch CRT TV.
But I cannot view anything else on the TV from the phone: which includes photos, pdf documents ,power point slides and phone's screen etc.
In fact they have mentioned in that tiny user manual ( in page 72 ) I think, that some files wont be displayed properly on the TV screen due to differences between the display of the TV ( CRT ) and samsung jet ( Amoled screen).

But I wonder whether we can see the photos or display of the phone on an LCD TV while connected via the shipped tv out cable.

It usually played the Xvid video files well but did have trouble opening one xvid file. Also another nice tip - type *#0*# in the keypad and we can use jet's front cam and use its dual led flash as a flashlight.

I am cönsidering buying this lovely phone but hav few things in my mind needs to clarify ~~ how good is the inbuilt Dolphin browser in Jet? Does Opera mini work on jet flawlessly? Can i upload files to orkut, gmail, picassa, facebook via Opera mini / Dolphin from Jet? I hav windows XP installed in my PC, will Jet hav any issues while connecting to my PC via cable?
Jet user please confirm.

I was able to speak with a sales rep and asked why they're selling their units with a cheaper price compared to other stores. Well , she told me that the reason why they marked down their prices is because the phone that they're selling is already an old stock. That's the reason why they marked down their prices in order to dispose the phones immediately.

It would be a lot more better if you're going to buy the phone at a trusted dealer and examine the phone first hand. My jet is the rare samsung jet purple or also known as the samsung jet Lilac.

Can anybody tell me if GPS is free or not.I mean using navigation(not download apps) must go to GPRS or not and if anybody know for some alternative program wich hadnt to use gprs for that.THANKS
