> In reply to gcxf @ 2011-10-05 22:59 from QJbx - click to read Cell phone models ending with a "G" use either AT&T or T MOBILE towers and those ending with a "C" use VERIZON so call your cell phone provider and read them the SIM CARD NUMBER that you now have installed. The T401g will either have a T MOBILE OR AT&T SIM. I HAD TO REQUEST/INSIST (STRAIGHT-TALK) TO SEND ME AN AT&T SIM CARD TO REPLACE THE T MOBILE SIM because I wasn't getting a signal, which I was absolutely positive about because I cancelled my T mobile account because of this problem. You can also ask others you know who have AT&T and T mobile and check their signal strength in the location that you are having problems that way you will know more before you make that call.

Do NOT buy this phone. You cannot do simple things like forward your phone calls, which is a standard feature in the most basic phones. (Or re-arrange the order of your menu, and a few other features.) All-in-all, not very user=friendly, and very quirky. Also, when I bought it, the package did not include a separate SD Memory card that is apparently necessary for the simple task of interfacing with my laptop. Basic things like that should be included when you buy the phone, rather than be something you have to add on later.

Received my Samsung t401g cell phone 2 weeks ago from Net-10. I have had issues when talking on the phone where the person I'm talking to sounds very tinny and therefore I can't hear them well, but when I put them on speakerphone I can hear them perfectly clear. I am also having issues with Samsung WEP 460 bluetooth headset which I got a few days ago. I paired it with my net-10 Samsung T401g phone. When I push the multi-function button it beeps once and automatically dials the last # called. It doesn't give me access to the voice activated feature. I am able to answer calls on it. I have deleted the headset from my phone twice and re-paired them together with the same result.I have contacted Samsung customer service via their website and was told that the headset and phone are not compatible but it could also be a hardware problem (little confusing) yet on their website they recommend that particular headset for my phone. Was wondering if anyone knew if there was something I could to remedy either issue or if I need to return the phone or headset. Please help!!

I'm thinking of abandoning AT&T after 16 years with them and going to straight talk. This phone is one of several offered. What is the battery life like when actively using? And how quickly is Internet upload of pages? Is there anything extra I need to purchase in order to utilize the bluetooth?
Any feedback/advice someone can give me--from someone familiar with this phone--would be most appreciated.

My last cell could only send 5 texts simultaneously.
What are the limits to this model?
