Took it into the shop from whence it came and they couldn't understand why. Phoned technical services and they struggled to understand as well. Spoke to them via landline, they tried various things but when they phoned me back on mobile with question "How was that?" the answer was "It only rang once!" In the end I went into ringtones myself and chose one that kept repeating itself. It's called Beat Plucker.

I love the design of the phone and as my laptop is an Acer and has done me so very well for the 4 yrs I have had it I thought the phone must be good, However, I have had the phone for 3 days and have had to charge the battery over 6 times, Last night I unplugged my phone, battery was at 100% and went to bed, This morning the phoine wouldnt switch on and so I plugged it in AGAIN and it sai battery 1%. It is absolutly ridiculous as it is meant to be a mobile not a stay at home phone. I am very dissapointed and am going to take the phone back to the shop today.

This must be THE least user-friendly phone in the world! All my calls are MISSED calss because it only rings once! There are no real instructions to tell you how to use the thing and I concur with other users who say that trying to send messages is a test of patience! The buttons are far too small and close together. A horrid little phone. I'm going back to my own i-phone

I got an Acer Liquid Express on the £10.21 deal from T-Mobile. First impressions are:
1] Abysmal battery life. I have to charge it up twice a day!
2] Google maps only seems to work accurately when I connect via Wi-Fi on my home network. Otherwise it's only accurate to 600 metres at best [set to 3G only]. If I set the phone to select 2G /3G automatically the Maps accuracy drops to 900 metres. Even my old Samsung Tocco Lite could manage 600 matres accuracy on 2G only.
Other than that it's a pretty spiffy phone. The deal and price point is good for me. My favourite apps are Google Sky Map and SkEye which are both amazingly accurate and informative for identifying the stars, planets and constellations in the night sky. Just point it up into the sk and it'll tell you what you're looking at.
The battery life and GPS / Maps issue are real showstoppers though.

Phone is a knightmare if you have fat fingers, all manner of buttons being preseed which is frustrating when trying to send messages. Phone is sleek in design and looks very cool. internet is rapid and includes flash for most websites, cool feature has gps and sat nav preinstalled, use too many functions on this phone and battery life drains incredably fast, battery lasts for about a day and a half if just used for normal phone use, but hey this is smart phone and when used to play games internet etc the battery will last just about a day. Come ACER if you want to keep up with Iphone 3gs at least, sort the battery life out!!!!

Not sure about the looks. The Liquid Metal is a much better looking phone. It has got a flat screen though, some reviews did not like the curved one on the Metal, and it seems a bit more powerful than the Liquid Mini. I have had no problems with my Acer and now it's on 2.3.5 it is even smoother.
