I have had it for a year originality with rogers wireless in canada it was crap as the rogers software was a constant problem and there tech suport no better, I went and cracked my berry unlocked my set cleard it to empty memory and added in the rim software from the site for the unlocked model and now use it with att/ tmobile in the usa and not 1 problem. however as a previous user said it i slow and take a good while to start up and apps are slow, but all around a good phone. I have mine cracked so instead of 8gb max micro sd card ( as bberry says) I am using a 16gb micro sd card with no problems, my bberry is my mp3 player as well. beware interior screen cracks easily ( Id advise get a protective case ), ive replaced mine once, myself bought the screen off ebay.

Just bought this phone today as a stop gap. I must say that physically it is a beautifully styled phone. Comfortable in the hand and easy to use. The screen is nice and bright with good colours. Granted, the processor is slow - so you will sometimes need to be patient. Otherwise, if you are looking for a beautiful looking flip phone that is adept at handling calls, texts, and emails, then this is your phone. I like it. I love it.

The e71 is more of a business texting phone. I had it and personally I loved it.

The blackberry curve 8520 is more of a newer sleeker texting blackberry. There aren't as many free apps for blackberry, however their interface in flawless.

The pearl flip on the other hand, I couldn't imagine two letters on one key for a flip phone. Texting on a flip phone is already complicated and does not need the complex pearl layout to help.
