Some questions for users:
1. Can this phone play .AVI files?
2. Can an mp3 file be used as message alert tone?
3. What's the internal screen diameter?I don't think it's 2.6" inches. Some site site say it's just around 2.2"..

Had this Unit for 2 months and had it replaced once due to shutting down during calls. Its run on an Enterprise server so used for business E-mail account and as a result 100+ mails a day, and the phone cannot cope. Its slow to load, scroll up and down when reading e-mails. Batttery life is good, but this phone does not have GPRS even though this site says it has. the phone is solid and the keyboard easy to use compared to the 8100 series, but the screen is small and not a clear. It does take a Micro card in the Right top side and should come with a 1GB Card. It uses the smallest usb CONNECTORS NOT AS FOUND ON THE 8100 or 8300 and Motorola units. The camera face gets dirty, especially if it been in your pocket. The better unit I think is the Javiin - but boes not look as good.

my gf loves the look of this fone a lot, but she's a bit dissapointed that this fone has no 3g network. I really hope BB will make a 3g version of this fone.

I was thinking about buying this phone off ebay until I realised it hadn`t got a radio. I mean an expensive phone like this without a radio!!? I won`t be changing my Nokia 7390 for it.

> In reply to Lydia @ 2009-04-15 04:57 from iS5b - click to readammm i dont know if it has a memory card but if it does then just plug the phone into the pc (if your phone has a lock on it it may ask you to give the password on the computer or on the phone)
The phone's memory chip should then apear on your computer
from their just drag the songs you want from your computer to the phone

Just wondering, alot of my friends have music and playlists on their phones. I don't have much experience with smartphones but I have this one and was wondering how I would get my music from my computer onto this phone?

I bought one and I'm not satisfy with the weak battery power. For frequent usage, you have to charge it everyday - sort of trouble.

This is my second cell phone (moving on from a Samsung A436) and I must say, it's perfect for those of us who are not necessarily super smartphone literate. The Blackberry Pearl Flip does only what you want it to (except for my tendency to accidentally hit the voice command button when I'm texting), making it very simple for people who aren't used to phones that are capable of doing more than texting and voice. RIM has given the Smartphone revolution a friendly face with the 8220, and I think this phone is definetely great for the younger generation and the female consumer population. Very stylish, and although it was my second choice to the Curve, I definetely do not regret buying it. Suretype keyboard was definetely a down side but they don't call it a smartphone for no reason, this thing gets to know your vocabulary within a couple of days, making the Suretype tolerable (although I still sort of wish it was full QWERTY).
