Silly cartoon drawing? Relatively low specs?

I think this is HTC's go at a younger audience.

i think it's a good move by htc to get people using their handsets by offering a cheaper alternative to their other high end phones. looking at the specs of the mobile, it's pretty similar to the touch diamond but with a better processor, ram and different OS. also the phone looks good simple yet sharp.

> In reply to Poisonspider @ 2009-09-08 21:06 from SbMW - click to readyes i am aware that everyone cant afford htc hero but i also said that there r better phones in the price range that this model is in so y go for this 1?
battery life is important whether u wna admit it or not
and capacitive touchscreen is also important. i hv a 3" resistive touchscreen phone and typing on it is not v impressive. typing on this will be even worse cos its a smaller screen so smaller keyboard. i hv used optical, capacitive, and resistive touchscreens and capacitive is so far the best type of touchscreen used on phones (except optical which was used on neonode phones but they went bankrupt)
i dont hv any apple product, i like multitouch cos i hv a multitouch computer. so multitouch is not for apple fans and apple didnt invent multitouch. they werent even the 1st to hv slide to unlock on a phone but thats another issue.

It looks like the most awesome mainstream smartphone soon to come. It has simply everything most people need, Android AND is supposed to be cheap. Wow at HTC

> In reply to Anonymous @ 2009-09-08 19:14 from AcpI - click to readNot everybody can buy a Hero so this mobile don't suck and many things you tell about Hero is not very important (multitouch is only for ex apple people ;-)). I like this phone!

The screen resolution 320*240 is actually not that bad. If a mobile device has a high resolution screen, a fast CPU is also required otherwise the device will lag.

In this situation the device has a low resolution screen and a quite good processor, which means...
THE HTC TATTOO IS FAST!
