I bought as my first handphone in 2004 coz the design looks so cool (at that time..even now still).
Then after 3 years, the buttons and battery spoiled. Change to SE K700i and now SGS. Next phone might be SGS3, perharps.

I've had this phone for about 3 years now and it's screen has just packed up after a good amount of use.Whilst the screen isn't working the main phone itself still works exactly the same as normal. so i can still make phone calls but just cant see what im doing. It's been a very resiliant phone, having been bashed repeatedly and even dropped into a glass of water and survived.
The main thing that i really hate about this phone however is the vibrate. I don't know if it's just my LG but the vibrate on this thing is loud enough to alert the whole room that i have recieved a text - hardly the point of vibrate.
Generally it has served me well, but i am glad for the excuse to buy a new phone!

security code for LG 5300
I'm not able to use the phone at it asks for a security code LG 5300 . I have tried the default of '0000' but it does not work. Is there a was to reset the security code? Please help

This phone can not be worse.It was born dead.I had it for one week and I sold it wrightaway....with 20 euros:)

I bought this phone over 2 years ago when colour screen phones just came out. It is a wicked phone. I think the best feature about this phone is the game submarine. its so addictive.

I just use G5300, I think this phone is not good enough. I had some problem with this phone. The message alert can not vibrate together with the tone,if I activate vibration alert I can not realize when any message come, if I activate tone, I can hear the sound in the crowded. If it is compered with the monocrome phone, the sound is very very low. I also notice that the alarm can not active if the phone is off. actually...I got so many many many problem with this phone.

my coment is .i went to danlond from internet and my internet is surport of it u people dont went to conect me and too the phone am using is arelord off polyphonic ringing tone and my network is GLO /please help me about that thanks for ur consind

I m not satisfy with this phone. My LCD became totally U/S. If some one have a phone with S/A LCD and not performing other function please contact with.

DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE!!!!!!it is rubbish.dont be fooled about what it says on the box.this phone is absolute rubbish.it came with a vodafone sim and when i contacted lg and vodafone because i cuoldnt download java games and other stuff they told me they weren't compatable.why the hell is it sold with a sim that isnt compatable.and anytime you try and download stuff it says no midlet or some crap.false advertising?yes
