i think alcatel is a good phone. i have one as my first phone for 3 yrs. then, it just died out. i replaced the battery, but its no good. its really durable. i drop it often. compare to other brands its far behind. if you want a durable phone with no non-sense. then is the phone for you.

pls dont say that its not a good fone...well what fone is it thats too good to be so tough?? i have my alcatel ot-s853 and worked perfectly fine...i once had a friend who accidentally dropped his ot-c825 so high he screamed...but until now its good as new...

Yes absolutely. This phone is perfectly fine, it is cheap, well made and fashionable. Sure it does not have a 2 hundred million thausand mega pixel camera and a coffee grinder(yes I am sarcastic here), but honestly the 1.3 mega pixel camera which it does have is perfectly fine, the picture it makes are pretty good (better than most other 1.3 mega pixel cams).

And all i can say is "I don't believe you" sure there are faulty units... sure that is true!!! But I know for a fact that Alcatel has made quantum leaps in terms of quality and reliability and is in those terms on par with the best in the industry. I would bet you those same cows you mentioned that in relative terms (so that is in percentages) that Alcatel NOW for its 2007-2008 models has a lower break rate than the top brands! Why? Cause I have several Alcatels and all of them work without breaking down. My S853 which is a 2006 model had a firmware upgrade ONCE and is going strong since then... which is 1.5 years now... longer than the average age of an LG or Nokia phone... Pitty really as Nokia knew how to make reliable phones in the past (3210 for instance) but now they do not, atleast not as good as they once did. No offense buddy but that is MY opinion and MY knowledge.

Alcatel are the masters of design and innovation, just look at all the models they com out with every year!
"Its 2007 and they give us 1.3 megapixels", what will they think of next!

This phone is Php 7,400 or 180 USD here in the Philippines specifically in BERLEIN store in Gaisano Mactan, Cebu.

who did a what now, if we have to believe that all alcatel models you've sold have come back within a week, then, you are telling the people that your phone shop is selling a damaged or second hand units. The truth is no perfect has ever been made either in software or hardware. So it's impossible to believe that all units you have sold have come back within a week. I and other alcatel users anywhere in the world can testify that alcatel phones lasts longer than any other brand. I have my OT S853 accidentally fell down higher than me for several times now but it still working fine.

omg , these are seiously terrible phones . imo every alcatel on the market is a joke .
i work in a phone shop and have sold a few different moddels of this phone ... all have come back within weeks saying its the worste phone theyve ever owned .
i refuse to sell these or any made by this company .

i love alcatel phones...they are trendy and fashionable..I have Ot E801 and it's great..good mp3 player and good thing it has a memory card but its still cheaper..So i think this elle no.3 is much better. As i browse the net about this elle model, I was amazed with the features and colors..Thus anyone knows how much this Elle no.3 cost? Is it available here in the philippines? pls.. help me!!!!!!!!!!
