this phone is really great .. i used it longer than any phone i used and till i bought new phone..I never sold that phone .. i love it

its a superb fone coz it has more valuable options than those old fones which include only the basic options.... w@p helps me alot to chek my mails and stuff.... and this fone (all Alcatel fones) has very good network comparing to any other fone other than Alcatel....

I have used this phone Alcatel since 2001 todate.Its a good phone.My problem is how can inrease the font size and change the display colour from yellow .

I live in Zimbabwe and i also have this wonderful phone but the only problem is that the Joystick is no-longer working and there are no people who help down here.

Thanks for the service you are offering us. I have used this phone since 2001 to date. It is a wounderfull phone. But my problem is it fell down and i can nolonger use it any more. I live in Uganda East africa There are no outlets that sell this phone any more can you please advice me on how i can get this phone? Please Please assit me cos i can imagine buying any other phone apart from OT 501. Please get back to me.

i have a phone that looks like the Alcatel 500 (OT 500) but with a @ SIGN at it's bottom side. please i want to know the real model.

Ave tried to cornect my OT 500 but cant be detected in the pc do you require any software? or else which is the right cable and how can iget it?

Can I know why I'm deleted my message from my phones, but the memory usage percentage still show in my phone? Is it my phone got problem? Can I know what problem?

While the 501 is attractive, and the joystick feature much valued, the fatal drawback is the poor voice reception callers to the phone experience: few can hear you properly on the 501. I don't know if others have found this, but I am tired of repeating myself on the 501 and do not recommend this model.

Great phone (501) except:
-battery lasts only 3 days
-no IR port
-only 15 seconds of voice memo
-NO DISTINCTIVE RING !!! I've searched the menu and the manual many times but I have found no way to associate a melody to a number (like for Nokia or Ericsson) or to a directory (like for old Alcatel OT Pocket)! If I am wrong on this, please e-mail me or post reply here. Thanks!

The phone has a nice look but when it comes to the batery, it is the worst. After two days of beeng on stand-by the batery is still shown to be full, but when you make a call it empties up quickly. Another thin that i don't like about it is that te memory fills up by itself, i don't even put enything in the memory.
