This phone is nostalgia. I still have it with me although i already buy N70 few month a go. I buy this Alcatel for last 3years and its perfectly working until today. Unfortunately, if u make a call for a long hour, your ears will feel hot. (cuz its stainless steel) by the way, its a very tough phone cuz i accidentally drop it more than 20 times, and it still work, plus the navigation key is still good. (sony ericson always got problem with this kind of navigation key, if u have it for more than a year) seem its a very old model, for those who want to buy a new phone, i suggest to buy another model which has camera and easier data transfer.

i can use 3g with this alcatel, i can see my friend via video call.
and it has big screen too
the best is it has wi-fi..

i have had this mobile for over a year trust it might not take out photos but trust me it has no battery problems,its easy to use and its my trusting friend

Its just a C class mobile phone I have ever seen in Bangladesh. It have a workless infrared, GPRS is not compatible with my operator. Screen color is low. In same price I could bye a better one from other brands.

my ot535 can't connected internet with gprs although I regestered to hotlink. when i try access internet he request to my pin number. i put in the hotlink pin number's but i am still can't access internet.

first, to change (possibly) the colours, you may use: menu -> customize, and then feel free to change "colours" or "atmospheres"
second, the 2 buttons below your display can be used for camera (at 735i model), but, for 535 you can use them only when you connect to internet via GPRS
the button you said it can be programmed is top left of the display: one button - 2 functions for short and long press
your last questions has no answer from me :)
anyway, i have this phone for more than 18 months and i'm very glad about the choice i made buying it.

Hi,
I just bough this phone as a second hand thus replacing my old OT501 and I have few questions:
1. Is there a way how to change color or font of the text on the main screen?
2. How can I program these two small buttons just under the display each side of the joystick? The manual just says 'programable buttons' but nothing about how to do it ;o(
3. Is there a way the screensaver can show there has an event happen? (SMS, missed call...)

I have this phone, it's nice for its price, but the one thing I hate about it is the IR-when I bought it, I thought it would actually WORK for other things than just tel numbers... Anyway, can someone tell me what are the "landscape mode" and the "zoom" listed above? I don't seem to have used those functions on my phone...
