perfect, now my irda connections works! but with the original alcatel soft i can't transfeer java, any body knows how to do it (isntall games, aplications, what ever) without internet?

Hello is easy!!!!! you just have to configurate your sistem in your pc!!!!!
i think that you have more speed that your cellphon can recibe!!!! try to put it in 57 kpbs!!!!

The best price/product relation that you can find!. I just got some problems trying to connect it with my IRDA, I downloaded the 5mb basic pc suit and the soft ask me to activate the irda and nothing more happens. what can be wrong?

I am using OT 557 since 7 months. I am facing a problem now, whenever I activated infrared through PC, it can't detect itself.
I had already sent to the rer under warranty but still no use. So I think the hardware in the mobile should cause problem. So anyone who faces this problem before?

I am using OT 557 since 3 months. I am facing a problem now, whenver I switch on my Mobile, ALCATEL logo appears on the screen but does not proceed beyond that. Seems that it is a software error can any one please guide

I have my OT 557 for 7 months and i am satisfied with it very much.Sounds are great pictures are great too,and you can also record your own melodies and sounds and then to use them as ringtones or as a message alerts,and you can recive and send pictures over Ir-DA.I just have one little problem so please help me how to transfer java games and aplications over Ir DA from computer,should I use alcatel Pc suite for do that or there is onother trik.Thank you for any help given.

i can't send or recived nothing with infrared.Does infrared work wit pc?or i must by usb port

Very nice phone, nice colours, good sound, as for me, the 2MB memory is OK, photos are good (not the quality you'd get from a digital cam obviously)... The only bad point is that some games for 160 x 128 screens don't work on this phone, but if u use it for other purpouses it's ok. What's really great is the low price. If u don't have much money and u'r looking for a good phone, buy this one.

Really a great phone at a very very reasonable phone, the images are clear, great memory, resolution, video player is excelent, the only bad thing is that it is a little bit big, but is a gerat phone, with infrared you can send and receive everything!

Works perfectely with gprs servers, and with a simple USB Irda adapter, the conection with the pc is perfect. PC suite V3 is great and it has a content manager to echange sounds, photos and video with the cel. To download java, you need a patch to the pc suite, but works really fine. The only problem is the low memory (2mb). But it's a great phone!

The price of this phone in Malaysia is RM599. U can change sms or mms ringtone at ringtone setting. I want to ask how much the cost of the IRDA-USB adaptor in RM.

I took my mobilephone to an orange dealer and they made the settings for the gprs.. it's working really well, ive downloaded some crazy clips from alcatel.com... and most of all.. the pc suite works really well if u have a IRDA-USB adaptor.. and u can put miniclips of your own if you want.. i've didi that and i'm very happy about it.. i like a lot!!
