You need to get some settings from your SIM service provider, either manually or automatically.

Any installed Gadget or short-cut can be removed by pointing at any icon for a while till a whole bunch of 'X' appear against all icons. Now you can remove anyone by pointing at the X and follow by 'DONE'. Actually the finding was by my son Dulanjan, just 8 years old! Actually the phone is Cool for the price.
BTW anyone had success in connecting to the Alcatel apps through data cable? I get an error - not connected.

Your daugther must keep doing something to the phone for you to get it repaired 3x in 6mths, cos i don't see anyone else saying that they have had this problem, so maybe you should be asking your daughter what the hell she is doing with the phone in the 1st place when she is on her own or with friends.

lift the battery out then find in top left hand corner a spring loaded sliding metal bar with directional arrows < > slide right > to open.
Bar lifts up insert micro SD card with metal strips on micro SD card facing down then push down bar and slide close < !
Great your done PS don't forget to replace battery.

i brought this phone recently, wanted a touch screen just to see how i got on with one, and didnt want to spend a fortune so i tried this one, £14.99 from argos. bargain. TBH im quite impressed with it, the touch screen is fine, sometimes you have to press twice on the icons,(maybe im not touching it hard enough). the menu system is pretty good for a cheap phone all set out nice, with nice looking icons. comes with facebook & twitter installed. battery life is good 4 days and still going and thats using the radio & mp3 player alot. now the camara well ive taken some photo's in the daytime and they look ok, no probs ( even uploaded them to facebook) but low light your gonna get poor pics. all in all this is a good bargain touch screen phone, looks good to. the only gripe i have with this phone is that its not loud enough when using radio/mp3 player (i like my music loud & bass heavy)lol. for a cheap phone i would rate it at : 8/10.

Hey if you really want to delete java apps from the phone do this:

1.back up pictures caontacts messages, etc (you can use alcatel pc suite)

2.do a hard reset: http://www.hard-reset.com/alca...d-reset.html

Restore content to phone.

NOTE: I HAVE NOT TRIED THIS SO DONT KNOW IF IT ACTUALLY WORKS ITS JUST A SUGGESTION.

IF IT DOES WORK (NO LOST FILES PHONE BACK TO 'AS NEW')
PLEASE TELL ME.
