> In reply to capricorn @ 2009-09-28 22:17 from M66BNo problems with the USB. When you connect it, the phone ask you what to to and the last option is to use it as a web camera :)
ps - I think I'm the first in Bulgaria who use this phone, it's very small and with enough multimedia features.
Best regards.

Capricorn, the installation of the usb driver is very easy and self explanatory, there is no need for a CD or whatever to install it. On Windows XP service pack 3 when you plug in the phone into the PC and choose "mass storage" on the display (when you have a memory card inserted) the phone will ask the computer for an installation, just click automatic installation on your PC when the message box comes up and the installation should be commencing. Really easy and straight forward.

Can you please tell me when will it be released in Asia-Pacific especially in the Philippines. When I first saw it in the website, I was very astounded by its appearance, and now I want it. But here in our country, Alcatel phones have a bad image coz for some it looks like "chinaphone". The leading ones are Nokia, Sony Ericsson and Motorola. Wish it will be released now...haiszt...

When I used this with my PC(Also Windows XP), I did have to install the USB driver to get it to work properly.

I agree with Skippy that this is a great phone.
I've had it for a few days now and I can say its a very nice phone. It has a beautiful design with a great touchscreen and LED touch panel.
The music player is quite good and the speaker has a decent volume. There is also a FM radio with RDS. A USB cable and headphones are supplied so you can use the alcatel pc suite and transfer files easily.
The camera is also quite good for a 1.3 megapixel, however there is no self portrait mirror or flash but there is video. The web browser is also fairly good with most websites loading quickly.
There are two things wrong with GSMarenas specs. 1st there IS a FM radio and 2nd there IS NO accelerometer.
Overall this is a good phone and is one of the cheapest touchscreen phones in the UK. It is much better than the T-mobile Vairy Touch(which I have used before) as the touchscreen seems to be more responsive. I would definately recommend this phone :)

Hi Everyone, I bought my phone last week at Tesco and i'm totally smitten with it.
I just thought i'd let people know that Tesco have a deal on at the moment, spend £30 on shopping and get £20 off a mobile phone.
My Alcatel only cost £30.
Great phone and really happy.
