nice little phone. i am happy with it for the price. my criticism however is that why do these phone companies (ALcatel and LG - whose LG phone i returned to the store today to swap for this one.. why do these companies skimp on providing a USB lead with the product that can connect it to a PC? The lead must only cost peanuts to them to supply and yet they omit to do this. Luckily I had an old one lying around from an ancient VGA camera. But jeeez, It is POOR!!!! service from ALcatel.

No, don't get me wrong, this phone still sounds ok, but you can not compare it too the S853 in terms of sound. the S853 was a specifically designed stereo sound phone with 3 speakers, (2 tweeters for left and right channel and one sub woofer speaker for the bass). This phone is not designed with the same speakers, but still the sound should be good enough... for the price especially.

Hi,
How does this phone compare to OT-S853 in terms of:
- Music sound via smalltalk
- Music sound via speaker
I love my S853, it is my portable radio! (I often play MP3 via speaker and it is peerless...)

generally USB 2.0 is 100% backward compatible with 1.1 ..honestly, i think 1.1 is sufficient for devices of this nature as the speed of USB 2.0 had very rarely being realised by other devices too. But i'm with KnightRider on this one..i think it's a typo on the website...which is pretty common on My-onetouch.com :)

like i said, as far as i know, the usb is 2.0 compatible, the 1.1 is most likely a typo.
