Awful phone I have had it two months and now the whole left side of the phone doesn't work! Fair enough its a cheap phone but I excepted to be able to use it for a while at least. The carphone warehouse is the worst phone dealers. the staff actively lie to you and sell you insurance that actually has no use. Don't buy this phone and NEVER go to carphone warehouse unless all other phone shops are non-existent.

this phone texts very slow i dont like it much it dosent even have a message signature

I like the alcatel and I would recommend this phone 2 anyone. I admit the touchscreen is a bit tough to deal with at first, but otherwise i have had no problems. By the way, no offense, but you guys need to learn how to spell :)

I just thought you would all like to know about this information concerning the alcatel (ot708)

I recently went into the carphone warehouse to buy the alcatel (OT 8oo) and I tried to sell my alcatel mini (OT 708) as a trade in, but I was told that it was worthless to them. I was in SHOCKED at this, untill the lady showed me the computer screen and their was a big fat ZERO on it. I still bought the phone that I wanted, but this is a warning to anyone that wants to trade in their ot708, against a new phone at the carphone warehouse.

Lastly, Mazuma mobile are offering £5 cash or £5.50 argos voucher. You might be able to get a better deal at some other mobile websites which reuse your old mobile.

bought it today and for 30 quid you cant go wrong.. sure its not as flash as a more expensive one like the tocco lite, but it does everything you'd expect from a phone. i wa a bit unsure about how the touch screen would respond on such a cheap priced phone, but its great, my brother has a iphone and he says its just as responsive as that. plus the sound quality from the mp3 player when you have the headphones in is excellent, much better than my creative zen mp3 player. ok the camera is on 1.3mp but still takes pretty good pics.
so if you look ing for a cheap phone and not just a touch screen one, then this is for you.

this phone is not a very good phone i have had it for a day and now the blue buttons just stopped working and it wont pull up the menu or anything i am very mad and do not like this phone alreay i would not get it if you were looking at it and does anyone know how to fix this problem?

this is a very hard to use fone...so complcated..but the design is really elegant and uniqie!..i think you just have to get to to its complexity!!

sound is poor video looks bad headphones is poor no pc cable java games and apps works but very slow ,browsing the net is hell sound quality in calls and hands free is poor too.
so its a poor phone i wont recommend this phone to anyone so didi look for real good phone other than this one .

Hi, I'm wanting a new phone for my brhtday and have been searching on the internet. This Acatel looks quite good but some people are saying that there are a few minor problems and that they have had trouble using software and touchscreen etc. Could you please tell me whether this phone is suitable for easily listening to music, calling people and simple to text with?

Got this phone today from Carphone Warehouse. Good, quick charge time. Nice interface but scrolling is a little troublesome on the touchscreen. All in all a pretty good phone for 40 quid - and it came with £20 credit and 6 months free web.
