very good phone actually in my opinion,just one thing i can't ever figure it out actually,always pictures and videos i try to make there very dark,does anyone know how to actually set to be more bright,other phones work very fine in same enviroment but this one always makes pictures or videos darker,barelly can see on phone looks great but moving on the pc not good at all.

i have had an alcatel ot c652, an ot c 825 & a v770 all were just wonderful
im planning to buy this phone hopping that alcatel as always is going to bring new phones to colombia like the ot max for example

I replaced a Sony-Ericsson Z550a with the OT-708 in December. I liked it for about a week, then the novelty wore off. I have a lot of issues with this phone. I can't use it as a bluetooth modem because it has to be connected by cable to be put into Com Mode. The camera is the worst I've ever seen on a phone; it's incredibly slow and the pictures are horrible. When I'm on the phone, my ear actually pushes the screen and disconnects calls. My daughter loves the phone, and that may be its biggest asset. Its a cute phone for a teenage girl, but I needed a dependable phone for work....this one isn't it.
I will say this. I had my phone with me in a car wreck and it spent 6-hours under water before I was able to fish it out. One week later, I put the battery and sim card back in and it works perfect!!
The screen is bright and clear, everything functions like it should. I'll still use my Sony, but I have this for back up should I ever need it.

As previous post two weeks ago I praised this phone and still love it BUT having owned this REPLACEMENT phone for such a short time its too much of a coincidence this phone has developed the same problem as the last one in the same ammount of time, after about three weeks you cannot get the thing out of Idle Interface !, yes you can use the touchscreen to text and make calls and use the widget on the left of the screen BUT YOU CANNOT use the L.E.D at the bottom ( the blue touch lights ) frozen on one blue left and right and two blue middle, no matter what you try to do reboot, calibrate, you cannot get out of this mode , shame this is a great little phone.

I have a Alcatel OT-708 and i see ot has mp4,but all the formats of mp4 i've tried havent been recognized buy the phone.
Can anyone tell me the exact mp4 formt or give me a name of a good video converter that is compatible with this phone's software?
