Themotive of my E-mail is that I've seen your last comment on to the net, asking concretely about which phone would be better, if Alcatel ot735 or Motorola v525.
Well the thing is that I've the same problem, and just a pai of day to take the decision, because i'll have to get it one of thus on monday.
The difference is that I have got to decide between Alcatel ot735 and Motorola v150.
Firts I wanted the motorola because of its style also his tape, but... asI've always had alcatel and seen yesterday a girl in the train use it, I though maybe would be better continue with Alcatel if this brand never has give me problems with its phones.
Now, I ask to you. What would you do? I'm a bit confused, really. I'd like to get the Motorola, but my firts and worst preocupation is the sound. Alcatel always has had a good quality of sound, but Motorola..as Motorola c550 no, at least this one.
Could you advice me on my decision?

Very good phone. Not such great camera quality, but good on price. Very easy to use, and has a nice selection of features.
Overall, a good phone to have.

Hi, I would want to know if this phone would be more worth than the motorola v525. Yes i know motorola may be more stylish in ways, but just the normal functions...does it have good features within? Does it hang wile taking pictures? is the color quality good?(and camera).. At the moment, this phone is heaps cheaper, and i would not know if i would hav regrets if i bought this phone than the motorola...
pls help!

I got this phone for £70 on pay as you go. I would've been happy paying £200. It's superb. It has everything I want from it.

Just one thing. Somebody have to write a small program to swich on the port permit to fully utilize it. Like Palm computer do. With one touch 735 RAM 1.8 Mb simple program and update all Alcatel. Down load from internet to all customer world wide I am sure Alcatel would be more popular like Palm do over pocket PC.this Alcatel internet upgrade program.

If upload picture to palm or mobile phone by infrared port is possible for this one touch 735 it would make then a great change. We all are waiting for this Alcatel internet upgrade program.

CoolKID, i have to say that the colour depth doesnt outperform the t610, the screen on the t610 is still better than the alcatel, i should know i own both, still the ot735 is a great phone though

It has a good range of basic phone neccesities and is sound for general phone and texting use. The 4096 colour display is of an exceptional quality, for a CSTN screen. These screens have a bad reputation, however the negative elements are not significantly noticable as other handsets such as SonyEricsson's t610. The camera quality is amazing for a 4096 colour camera and it takes sharp, yet good quality images, as i beleive that i terms of picture quality, it even outperforms more colour depth handsets such as Sony Ericssons t610 (which as 65k colours).

I was brought 1 alcatel on last Sunday (5/23). It quite good, the bad is the vibration is only a few. All the other is satisfied. But the badest is in Thailand Alcatel center. I tried to called them since Monday (5/24) till now (5/27) with 7 lines (66 2 229 5010-7)of Customer service. There were busy all the time. I'm tried serveral times a day. The result is the same. It's not possible that the lines is busy all the time. (anyone need to try?)
I'm experience the transfer image from PC to phone via IrDA. Is show the message as same as Jason (posted 03/25/2004).
I'm also need to remove network operator from the screen, is it can be done? anyone know.
And the last, I need to set up GPRS on phone. I have contact to Orange Network operator. They didn't have any idea to setup GPRS for me. Due the phone is not popular in Thailand.
Finally, I feel regret that I was bought this phone. I should check the Alcatel Center first. If I know that there is no channel to contact them before. I'll not buy it. Now I'll tel all of my friend that PHONE IS BEST, ALCATEL CENTER IN THAILAND IS BAD. If anything wrong with your phone, you won't be able to find the ALCATEL person to help.
