i am using this phone from last year.
But from last week itself it have a problem with charger
while connecting my charger it shows "Warning Bad charger Contact"
what is this problem? can anybody help me?

Hi,

Anyone please help me to resolve my problem with Alcatel OT-806D. Its been in use for over a year now.

There are a few problems, but the urgent one that I'm not able to overcome is regarding the headphone.

There is absolutely no sound coming from the headset in outgoing or incoming call, even though the other person can hear properly what is being said. The only way the phone helps you hear during a call is by switching on the loudspeaker.

as for the connection to the internet, I don't think it's possible to use a pc as a modem for a phone, in stead you can use a phone as a modem for a pc. However I can't support this with facts, this is merely an opinion.

I've been using Alcatel OT-806D for more than a year now. In my opinion, this phone is REALLY GOOD for a cheap one. What seems to be the problem with the other users who complained were the unit they got were not perfectly manufactured. And I know that there are batches of units of everyone that are not manufactured properly.

Battery > If I'm not listening to music or using any java app, phone can stay up to 4 days.
If I'm using java and been playing music most of the day, I would need to charge it the next day then. My phone doesn't drain easily unlike the other touchscreen phones I had, mainly because of the battery.

Sound Quality on Music> On Speaker phone it's fine with me as well, you can choose different effects depending on your liking.

WIFI / INTERNET > The speed depends on the signal.

On Call Volume> I had to admit, the earpiece of the phone is not that good, so I advise you guys to use a headset whenever you're gonna take a call so you could hear the caller clearly.

Qwerty Keyboard > It's easy to type on this phone.

CAMERA > For a cheap phone, IT'S GOOD ENOUGH. If you're looking for a very HD outcome photos, then you can buy Sony E. Sony E is the best Camera Phone ever.

JAVA > I'm able to install different apps on this phone.

I don't know why some users have alot of complain on this phone.

This is actually too cheap for a qwerty+touch+dual sim, so don't expect for a high end performance.

Hey Only 1, You can send messages during a call and record your incoming and outgoing calls. The only thing you can't do is play music when a java app is running. Touch Screen for me is good, because it's not Capacitive, You can use anything to tap on the screen easily. I've been using this phone for more than a year so for me it's good phone for a CHEAP one! :)

is multitasking enabled? like type sms and minimize for outgoing call and after call continue to type etc... and contact search with smart dial. can we record the call in call phone book access background sms, touchscreen quality is good or not

the manual says u can call and recieve on both sim at the same time (dual sim active, but all review says it is dual sim stand by please tell guys

i just baught this phn ...isssue is with chrgng ...firstly it didnt show any thing on charge....now after 30 mns ...its showing a bar with progress of 0..10...20 % on it...how to swith on ma mobile...

Hi, did anyone upgrade Opera Mini browser to 7.0? I had run the upgrade process, but after that, my browser was downgrade to 4.2 (i had 6.5 version previously). Now I cannot back to 6.5 version anymore. Why Opera 7 is not installed correctly on the phone? Thanks.
